Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

NYS Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs bleated that he would not support Zohran Mamdani, his party's nominee for mayor of NYC. Jacobs whined about fundamental disagreements over Israel and democratic socialism. The position puts Jay Jacobs directly at odds with both NYC Democratic primary voters and Gov. Kathy Hochul, his de facto boss, who endorsed Mr. Mamdani. The amiable Zohran Mamdani continues to hold a commanding 21-point lead in the mayoral race, fueled partly by a growing black base. If the venal Eric Adama were to drop out of the race, Mamdani's lead among likely voters holds at 16 points. Zohran would receive 46% of likely voters' support compared with 30% for AIPAC mercenary Andrew Cuomo and 18% for Republican empty suit Curtis Sliwa. At least 20% of NYC Jews back Zohran and his BDS stance on Israel, as well as his agenda for affordable housing. Note that Jay Jacobs blogs on the Times of Israel website.

AIPAC and NYC real estate oligarchs are ganging up on poor Zohran Mamdani (33) whose feasible economic plans for NYC and his stand against ethnic cleansers Dummkopf Trumpf and Benjamin Netanyahu resonates with New Yorkers. Zohran reiterated that as mayor, should Netanyahu or Vladimir Putin step foot in NYC jurisdiction, he would order the NYPD Commissioner to have them arrested. Theoretically, an NYPD ESU team would be racing ahead of the USSS to the plane on the JFKIA tarmac to effect the arrest. Turncoat Andrew Cuomo, who made a lifelong career as a Democrat using his father's name and connections, is flailing helplessly in the wind, as he's been exposed as nothing but a shallow mercenary and a hypocrite. Cuomo was forced to resign as NYS governor after a NYSAG investigation concluded that he sexually harassed women. Cuomo also lied about the casualty numbers in NYS senior citizen homes during the COVID emergency, forcing him to return his Emmy Award.

It's more obvious than ever that neither party are adequate representation of the general population and are beholden only to monied interests.

We need a third party at minimum.

-He also said the Democratic Socialists of America, of which Mamdani is a member, does not represent "the principles, values or policies of the Democratic Party."

Is this true? The Democratic Socialists of America.....doesn't represent the Democratic Party?

You don't understand any distinction?

Have you been fed misinformation your entire life, or is this willful ignorance?

How many threads in all of these years you must have ignored entirely...

Consider examining the progressive platform:

Anyone who accepts corporate PAC funds is a "special interests" politician, not representing or operating on behalf of the American citizens at large.

Why do you imagine Bernie is currently getting so many Republicans to show for his symposiums?

So, this is what NYS Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs opposes:

"We believe that working people should run both the economy and society democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few."

"'Strewth!"

Since money became speech, the people with the most money have the most speech... which is why they paid to get the privilege of owning politicians outright.

The best small investment they ever made; it pays dividends almost daily.
