Well, if nothing else, Trump has been successful at getting Epstein off the liberal media news cycle.
That should be a load off his mind.

@#1 ... Well, if nothing else, Trump has been successful at getting Epstein off the liberal media news cycle. ...
Maybe for a few days, but when Congress reconvenes?
And, if I may ask another question ... where has Pres Trump been?
Has he been hiding since his disastrous rambling oratory at Sec Hegseth's conference?
I've not seen him appear publicly since, maybe, Tuesday of this past week.
So odd for him apparently to hide.

"he desperately tried to distance himself from"
Desperately?
He "barely," and very ham-fistedly in a way that anyone could tell he was lying, tried to distance himself from it.
Thanks for another solid example of why people don't trust mass media reporting on politics.

Don't blame him for YOUR "sensibilities" being played like a150lb effeminate white boy looking for sex or drugs at 3am in DC.
Some are looking at your entire tribe with serious "side eye".

@#9 ... Trump lied? ...
Well, yeah. What else does he have beside his lies?
GOP blames government shutdown on health care for undocumented people. That's false www.npr.org
... The White House and congressional Republicans say that Democratic lawmakers caused the federal government shutdown as part of an effort to extend health care benefits to undocumented immigrants. However, as several independent experts interviewed by NPR note, that claim is false. At the center of the standoff is the Trump administration's Working Families Tax Cut Act, also known as President Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill," signed into law in July. Democrats say it amounts to tax breaks for billionaires and pays for them with deep Medicaid cuts. The White House insists the law protects taxpayers by preventing undocumented immigrants from getting government health benefits -- but such individuals were already barred from Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act (ACA), or Obamacare, exchanges. "It's a complete distortion," says Leighton Ku, the director of George Washington University's Center for Health Policy Research. It is "simply wrong in the details," he says. ...

Going to be a long time of escalating Trump aggravations as he does what he can to frighten MAGA voters into showing up to vote even though he won't be on the ballot. He clearly doesn't care about America, at least he doesn't care about those at the lower third of the economic pyramid, that is for sure. He doesn't care about people losing their health care.

Trump has been well known for lying and misdirection. His first term raised employment by all mass media needing fact checkers that had to be hired. Between lies and misleading claims, his first term was peppered by 30,573 by some accounts. He's not changed and he isn't tracking any better this term.
Project 2025 tracker website has been keeping track of what he's accomplished during this term. You can go see for yourself, it's not been a one day effort to set up this website. The goals are pretty much right down the line as to what has been done and what's left to be done, and how much towards fulfillment each has progressed.
If you are just waking up to this then you owe it to yourself to go look. Trump has been following it all along.
As usual, those that buy his talk and not his actions, continue to be fooled.
