Judges Appointed by Trump Keep Ruling Against Him.
When a Donald Trump-appointed judge delivered a stinging rejection of his effort to put National Guard troops on the ground in Portland, the president had some regrets. "I wasn't served well by the people that pick judges," Trump vented Saturday.

His gripe came four months after he similarly sounded off about the "bad advice" he got from the conservative Federalist Society for his first-term judicial nominations -- a reaction to a ruling, backed by a Trump-appointed judge, rejecting his power to impose sweeping tariffs on U.S. trading partners. Of course he does. It worked for SCOTUS... who are these low level minions to doubt?

@#3 ... It worked for SCOTUS ...
Yup.
And the Roberts SCOTUS is building a history.
What might that history be?
And how might it be viewed in a historical perspective?
imo Chief Justice Roberts has lost control of the Court he presides over.
But that is just my opinion.

@#5 ... Or he's fulfilling his mission. ...
Possibly.
I'm not convinced of that yet.
That aside, how might the Roberts Court go down in history?

Subservient to another "equal" branch of government?

Too early to tell. So far the rulings have been about remedies, e.g. injunctions. I'll wait for the merits rulings.

"I wasn't served well by the people that pick judges," Trump vented Saturday.
They're not US judges....they're HIS judges. To rule in his favor.
Just like the tinpot dictator he fancies himself.
He has done the single biggest amount of damage to the rule of law and the Constitution in the history of the United States of any SCOTUS justice.
His court has ruled....
It's okay to accept bribes. It's okay for unlimited amounts of anonymous money can be used to buy elections. The President is unaccountable for any crimes committed when in office (Richard Nixon is rolling in his grave). Colleges cannot racially profile but ICE can. Six justices decided it was cool that they perjured themselves under oath. Unkie Thomas has been for sale to the highest bidder for decades along with well himself and Alito and Keggenaugh.
The single most corrupt court is his legacy.

Trump is trying to create the need to use the Insurrection Act. He needs this done before November 4 when the elections happen. He knows he'll lose the majority of Congress if he doesn't. Most likely his idea will be for his people to count the ballots, with a thumb on the scale, of course.
Both the history of voting which usually goes against the party in power as well as the majority of the polls indicate he won't have the majority after the election, meaning that he'll have far more trouble doing whatever he wants to do unchecked.
Hence the reason he is preparing the public with the announcement he's considering the Insurrection Act. Facts haven't mattered so much with Trump. He has no troubles with lying and it seems the party supporting him has no troubles with it either.
