Samantha Wynn Greenstone knows her husband is gay, okay?

She knew he was gay when they met in a San Diego production of "Fiddler on the Roof." She knew he was gay when he proposed. She knew he was gay when they got married in November.

He's not bisexual. She's not in denial. That hasn't stopped them from being in a committed monogamous relationship for nearly 10 years.

"For months, Greenstone and Hoff have been making content about their "lavender marriage."

The term has it roots in the Lavender Scare of the mid-20th century, when a moral panic stoked by Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R-Wisconsin) and an executive order signed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower led to a purge of workers suspected of homosexuality from the federal workforce.

"There were ... thousands of people who lost their jobs, lost their livelihoods, many lost their lives. It was really frightening," said Regina Hillman, an assistant professor at the University of Memphis School of Law.

"And then there were some people who found a way to exist during that time and not lose their job." One possibility: Enter into a lavender marriage, a seemingly heterosexual partnership meant to conceal your own homosexuality."

"Maybe you could say the same of Barry Diller, who recently confirmed that he is both gay and happily married to Diane von Frstenberg.

Or Tricia Cooke, who spoke openly about being a lesbian married to Ethan Coen while promoting their movies "Drive-Away Dolls" and "Honey Don't!"

Different Strokes??

Don't know what people have against accepting the fact bisexuals exist.

I know a woman who is bisexual and has talked openly about guys she's had sex with, but she identifies as "gay". So I guess it depends if you're talking about someone's identity labels or actual orientation.

Beards have been around forever.

Because this stuff is so suppressed in our culture, every generation thinks they're figuring it out for the first time.

"Beards have been around forever."

Been hearing a lot about beards lately.

Now I know I'm getting old ... but what is the sudden problem with beards?

Or are we not talking about actual beards?

Because I have been wondering why men have evolved beards in the first place. Was it to make us look really scary? Mine would grow to the floor if I let it. I guess it's supposed to scare other males (and small children) away?

Mine looks like the hair on my head just decided to grow out my chin.

"Beard" is a term for a gay man's wife.

Today I learned that a straight male that likes musical theater is a stragget.

I once had a professional who dealt with sexuality explain.a misconception most people have about sexual attraction.

The common belief is sexual orientation is a dial you turn one way or the other.

Straight one way, gay the other and bisexual more in the middle.

Totally wrong.

It's 2 dials.

One for straight.

One for gay.

There might be other dials for rubber objects or God knows what.

Personally, I've wondered about straight men having sex with women with breast implants

Is squeezing a ballon filled with water erotic?
