This "administration" is an unmitigated disaster and an utter embarrassment.

Oh the hardships of the federal worker!

Let's see you miss a few paychecks, junior.

WCK is a good organization

This is a scalable model of making sure everyone eats which could be easily replicated by the National Guard.

It's probably what is going to have to end up happening.

Though I would expect Trump to take control of any NG units deployed for this purpose in Blue states.

I talked the other night about how the Rainbow Gathering manages to feed ten thousand dirty hippies in the woods for a week.

Funny thing is, those hippies learned how to do it when they got sent to Vietnam to kill the -----. It's the same way a standing army feeds itself in the field. And -----.

The trials Federal workers have to endure to get free health care for life and to retire with a full, inflation proof, pension at 50. You would think making double the median wage on average they would be able to float for at least a month without resorting to begging.

Let's see you work without a paycheck, dumb ass.

Hey Einsten,
If it's such a cushy job, with a golden retirement, why didn't you get one?
You're a waste of space.

Democrats say the shutdown is for the kidz, it's really for their patrons in the Health Insurance Industrial Complex.

What will Federal workers that couldn't plan ahead and are now using up resources meant for the needy do when they get fully compensated? I doubt they will replace the resources meant for the really needy. That's not the Democrat way. They only help the poor with other people's money.

Repugs love to starve kids almost as much as they love molesting them.

Fair point, these are workers who've been doing very well but were furloughed very recently.

Every free meal they eat is a meal that could have gone to a truly needy person, which are in high supply in DC.

The Soylent Company said they're running out of Soylent Red, but they expect a new batch of Soylent Green any day now.

"Every free meal they eat is a meal that could have gone to a truly needy person,"

You make it sound like food is scarce. It isn't. The only time food is scarce is when politics gets involved. Like when the English took half of Ireland's potatoes. But enough history, as your kind are not generally inclined to take in new information and assimilating it into your understanding of the world.

You also make it sound like people who got laid off aren't in need.

That you do, just because you're an asshole.

Fats Waller - Louisiana Fairy Tale (1935)

Lyrics excerpt ...

lyricsplayground.com

...
Verse:
Think of us together on a night like this, The scent of sweet magnolia in the air.
Shall we ever see another sight like this? With Lou' siana magic ev'ry where.

Chorus:
The dew is hanging diamonds on the clover, The moon is list'n'ing to the nightingale.
And while we're lost in dreams, The world around us seems like a Lou'siana Fairy Tale.
The breeze is softly singing thru the willows, As hand in hand we stroll along the trail.
And love is at its height, enchanting us tonight, Like a Lou'siana Fairy Tale.

Is it real, this fascination? Are my arms holding you fast?
Are we here, on a plantation, or can this be heaven at last?
Keep dreaming with your head upon my shoulder, And don't awake until the stars grow pale.
The world is at our feet, the picture is complete, Like a Lou'siana Fairy Tale.

Yeah, if that song sounds familiar to you, it may be because it was the theme song of the PBS series "This Old House" until 2002 or so.
