Let's talk about how Trump enjoys the idea of running for a third term, and the fact that this idea is also being promoted by people and groups on the right.

"For example, the American Conservative, which was one of the groups behind Project 2025, had an article on its website last year about how the 22nd Amendment is an arbitrary restraint on presidents who serve non-consecutive terms.
That of course is the key because the 22nd amendment being revised with language relating to non-consecutive terms would allow Trump to run for a third term, but not someone like Obama."

An amendment to the constitution to allow Pedo 47 to waddle for a third term will never pass.

No, it wouldn't get 2/3rds vote...
But the Lard King's Court Supreme could find a way.
Moses Mike was in full denial today that it would ever happen, so that makes me think it might.

It's foolish. The discussion of it knowing full well the Constitutional Amendment exists.
If Trump actually runs despite the folly, then President Obama would be the easy opponent to choose. Trump would lose.
Again, it's a fool's discussion.

It's almost as foolish a discussion as would be whether a President might ever tell States to change the name on their Official Ballots to his, and then an violent mob of thugs to stop the peaceful transfer of power in this country.
Even though his entire hand-picked DoJ threatened to quit.

It is.
But you are glossing over the key point.
Foolish and stupid is precisely how "The Banality Of Evil" operates.

A couple of Amendments actually, the 22nd and the 12th. The vid (w/ Transcript btw) addresses some of the scenarios, including him making himself Speaker of the House or VP for 2028.
I figure a National Emergency is more his style... perhaps that's why he has ICE trying to start an internal war.
And again, HIS SCOTUS are his toadies if it ever goes to the SC.

"Hannah Arendt's lessons for our times: the banality of evil, totalitarianism and statelessness
"There are no dangerous thoughts," Hannah Arendt says, "Thinking itself is dangerous".
"The ideal subject of totalitarian rule," she also says, "is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced communist, but the people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction no longer holds".

Not all of us.
That said, Mother Nature will probably make her opinion known within the next three years.

Gross exaggeration. Do something different this time, EB, as a favor to us, but mostly to yourself.
Read the short article in #9. (I won't even suggest you watch or read the freaking link!)
It's about someone you never even heard of.

Who did?
Admittedly I wasn't here prior to 2008, but I don't remember anyone worrying BushJr was seeking a third term.

I never said any such thing; it was obvious to everyone that NO ONE WANTED HIM for any 3rd term. That was never a thing.
But hey, make it about the posters not the posts, that's your MO always.
What did you think about the Topic itself in the vid you didn't watch or the Transcript at the thread link you didn't use?

As you're no doubt aware, the only reason that didn't happen on Jan 6, is Mike Pence didn't go along with it.

It's not Trump that's going to get Trump a third term. It's Republicans. You wouldn't put anything past Republicans, is what you should be saying here, if you were striving for accuracy, which you aren't.

I believe the claim was that Jeff Gannon from the hastily-concocted-to-give-the-President-some-good-press Talon News was pitching, and W. was catching.
