The congressional research office confirmed a breach, but did not comment on the cause. A security researcher suggested the hack may have originated because CBO failed to patch a firewall for more than a year.[image or embed] -- TechCrunch (@techcrunch.com) Nov 7, 2025 at 11:38 AM

By hacked, do they mean a back door installed by DOGE was utilized?

At this point, many of us out here are wondering if anyone is minding the store, rather than grabbing for all the grift they can get.

We have congress critters acting like school kids, not grown adults. The word compromise has been eliminated from the politic sphere it seems. The Repubs have ramrodded pretty much all they want or in support of trump, without consideration of the Dems. It's been a steady stream of 'my way or the highway' to the Dem party. What couldn't be voted on to railroad through, has had it's funding removed by refusing to spend what has already passed congress, effectively removing preapproved programs from being implemented or had continued funding terminated.
It's resulted in the shutdown of government, where all unnecessary jobs have been closed down. Of course in this process, digital security has went out the window along with the shut down...what could go wrong?

"The word compromise has been eliminated from the politic sphere it seems."
Can't negotiate with terrorists, now can we?
"In Springfield, they're eating the dogs, the people that came in, they're eating the cats."
You'd negotiate with the terrorist Dems? Dems who hate America so much they let the pet eating people in? No way, Jose!
