Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

America's biggest export might soon be its own citizens. According to the American Psychological Association, 63% of adults ages 18 to 34 have considered leaving the country this year because of "the state of the nation." Among parents, more than half (53%) say the same. The study found that stress about the country's future has hit a historic high. 75% of Americans say they're more worried about the direction of the nation than they used to be, and 76% call that fear a "significant source of stress." Dummkopf Trumpf's approval rating is 37% and thanks to his fascist, xenophobic, and oligarch-oriented junta, record numbers of American students have been applying to attend college outside the US. Tuition costs, school shootings, and ICE oppression against free speech on American college campuses have taken their toll: drudge.com. Who can blame America's youth for wanting to leave?

The anxiety isn't limited to politics. Half of all adults reported feeling lonely, and 69% said they needed more emotional support this year than they received. "People are overwhelmed by societal division, technology, and uncertainty about what's next," said the APA. "It's affecting how they relate to each other and themselves." AI is creeping into the collective stress index. 57% of adults now say the rise of AI adds to their anxiety, up from 49% last year. Among students, that number has nearly doubled to 78%. As automation expands and misinformation spreads, Americans are increasingly uneasy about how technology will reshape work, privacy, and even identity. Still, the survey found that most people haven't given up. 77% say they have some control over their personal futures, and 84% believe they can build good lives despite national instability. Family, friendships, and health remain top sources of meaning. But optimism has its limits. 66% of adults think they've sacrificed more than previous generations, and many feel the country isn't keeping up its end of the bargain. For young Americans, especially, the American dream feels more like a relocation plan.

Worst. President. Ever.

... America's biggest export might soon be its own citizens. ...

And, Pres Trump, in tallying, the dollars exported vs dollars imported, will likely place a zero sum on those who leave.

Why?

Because Pres Trump does not seem to care about Americans.

Who can blame younger Americans for wanting to expatriate with all the dystopia and future debt that Dummkopf Trumpf and Republicans have foisted upon them?

America use to be the envy of the world.

It's now a pariah nation.

European nations take care of their citizens. They're a functioning society.

America pits us against each other.

Better hope you started planning for being 70 when you were 20.

Hi Clownshack:

Pariah nation is right. Decades ago young Israelis who became sick and tired of ethnic cleansing, violence, war, and military indoctrination began expatriating to India, creating pacific communes for themselves.

Where will America's youth go? Canada like they did in the 1960s? Ireland or Italy if they can claim heritage? Will these countries accept and absorb an exodus of Americans when they are facing Russian aggression and supporting Ukraine?

The Trumpf junta and MAGA have screwed us over royally. Status quo Wall Street Democrats aided and abetted them, like the Weimar Republic ushering in the Third Reich.

Because the problem doesn't end with Trump.

Eventually, that fat f^*% is going to choke on his McDouble s^*% sandwich.

Problem is, his supporters will still be here. All 77+ million of them.

So many white supremacists in America. All 77+ million of them. And they are pauperizing themselves (and us) by supporting and rooting for oligarchs who will feudalize and brutalize us.

Quiters.... leave, quit talking like the pussies you are, just go.

Make housing cheaper, so I can quit seeing these stupid debates on X.

Canada like they did in the 1960s?

These weren't just quitters, these were traitors, imagine skulking back and talking about "patriotism". Idk why Americans don't value themselves.

Problem is, his supporters will still be here. All 77+ million of them.

Democracy is such a burden.

America use to be the envy of the world.

In the 90's. But its continued to lose its luster since the Iraq invasion.

"Nearly Two-Thirds of Young Americans Want to Leave the US"

Jokes on them, first they have to find some other country on the map to go to.

I gotta thank Trump for all the West African doctors that have moved to Canada instead of his USA.
