... Why It Matters

Baby Boomers were critical to Trump's 2024 victory, when 51 percent of the age group voted for him. A sharp decline in his approval among this cohort could weaken Republican momentum heading into the 2026 midterms, particularly in states where older voters have long formed the backbone of GOP support. ...

Trump's Approval Rating Crashes With Baby Boomers

So what? A little too late for them to come to their senses.

He's going to wreck the nation for the next four years and then some.

Not that 80 year-olds have much skin in the game. But I hope they get to enjoy the fruits of their bad decisions for as long as they have left to trouble this world.

I do not disagree.

Especially the aspect of regretting what they voted for.

Trump poll numbers are reaching impeachment levels after the mid-terms.

He must be leaning hard on ICE marauders setting key parts of the country on fire . . . and the Insurrection Act . . . to hang onto power leading up to 2028.

I'd imagine more than a few of his "people" are trying to figure out a way to get rid of him before he starts drooling on himself in public.

The idea that the Trump supporters were a new political movement is nonsense. The U S has had this same anti-intellectual social conservative hate mob since the Civil Rights era, the pro-Vietnam war era, the pro-Iraq and Afghanistan war era , etc. President Trump isn't the first dunce they have elected President but he is still President with the power to use to satisfy his personal grudges and destroy Constitutional democracy which he and his accomplices are plotting ways to ignore openly and without the normal oversight from the Supreme Court or Congress.
