James Talarico has been doing something really interesting: Preaching the actual teachings of Jesus and showcasing how Christian Nationalism distorts and contradicts the core tenets of Christianity. It's a worthy, important endeavor I don't see many politicians willing to do.

Excellent and concise, although there is more to Samaritan history, his take is informed. I dig symbology, as do apparently artists throughout all time, every culture.

It's interesting how ICE practices none of these recommendations by default if our citizenry are supposed to embrace ICE Jesus stealing children.

Hi Corky:

As you are aware, I side with the underdog, whoever or wherever they are, whether they were the Irish getting starved by the British or Ukrainians getting frozen or slaughtered by the Kremlin.

House Democrat Jasmine Crockett, not a member of "The Squad" for good reason, sides against the underdogs in Gaza and the West Bank.

In Congress Ms. Crockett votes consistently to fund and arm the Israeli Death Forces (IDF) which has been ethnically cleansing Palestinians for years.

How that helps her constituents in the Texas 30th CD, keine ahnung.

Peace Samaritans and the antiwar movement, which is as old as the American Revolution, will not support her candidacy any time, any where.

Our best wishes to Master James Talarico (D-TX) in his political career.

Following the word of God requires empathy, among other traits, and God-Man hero martyr Charlie Kirk sneered at empathy. Christian nationalism allows its adherents to look down upon the poor, the homeless, and the downtrodden. These people are one step from those described by Bob Dylan:

Just don't remind these folks about what JC said about 'the rich man', Heaven, camels and the eye of a needle...

Warmongers in the Democratic Party will not recapture the millions of peace Samaritans in the antiwar bloc for future elections.

In 2024, they did not vote for Green Party Jill Stein who received ~628,000 votes nationwide, nor did they vote for Dummkopf Trumpf.
