Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Every time Donald Trump has run for president, he has vowed to drain the swamp in Washington. But ever since he returned to the White House, not only has he not even tried to drain the swamp, he has pushed to gild it. Trump has used all the gold and glitz he can to cover up an increasingly putrid swamp " a morass filled with million-dollar donors scrambling for access, criminals seeking to buy pardons, corporate executives appointed to high-level government jobs and billionaire sycophants sucking up to Trump. Making the swamp smell even worse, the president and his sons have somehow managed, through crypto and other means, to increase their wealth by an estimated $4bn since Trump won a second term. At this point, we should probably call Trump's Washington not a swamp, but a colossal cesspool. For the sake of accuracy, Trump should put a big neon sign outside the White House saying: "Conflicts of Interest R Us".

Trump pardoned a crypto billionaire who, through some behind-the-scenes maneuvering, helped increase the value of the Trump family's crypto company, World Liberty Financial, by roughly $2bn. After Trump's campaign and affiliated Pacs received a gusher of donations from oil and gas companies, an estimated $75m, Trump gutted environmental regulations that the fossil fuel industry disliked, while also pushing to undermine electric vehicles as well as solar and wind power.

The Trump family's conflicts of interest have escalated during the US war with Iran. Trump's oldest sons, Don Jr and Eric, are investors in a drone manufacturer that has sought to sell drones to Gulf states that have faced attacks from Iran and depend on the Trump administration for military aid. In a move that several Democrats called "corruption in plain sight", the Pentagon awarded a $24m contract last month to a robotics startup " Eric is the company's "chief strategy adviser" " to test an android with the US Marine Corps.

According to the New York Times, even as Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner serves as a top Middle East peace envoy, his investment firm, Affinity Partners, has been seeking to raise $5bn, with Affinity representatives meeting in recent months with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. That conflict of interest seems all the more egregious considering that the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, has repeatedly urged Trump to attack Iran to destroy its hardline regime.

MAGA does not care if Trump steals from them. They never have.

Boggles the mind and contravenes human nature, but here we are.

The day the 34 count convicted felon stepped foot into the white house it became a cesspool home to a pedophile rapist.

Too bad the Democrats squandered away their incumbency in 2024 so that Israel can liquidate the Palestinians in Gaza.

Losing 7,371,247 voters on Tuesday 5 Nov 2024 that the Democrats once had Tuesday 3 Nov 2020 really hurt.

Now look where we're at.

Nota Bene: On Tuesday 5 Nov 1968, the incumbent Democratic Party lost 11,851,875 voters they had in 1964. Billionaire Felon Musk-- who wasn't born yet-- didn't cause Democrats Hubert Humphrey and Ed Muskie to lose on Tuesday 5 Nov 1968.

Supporting a brutal regime that was liquidating the Vietnamese people did.

"Hey, Hubert! I'm not voting for this!"

Throughout the month of October, 2024, the Trump campaign (and associated entities) spent $300,000,000.00 on ads in all 7 swing states during televised NFL and NCAA football games. The topic of all of those ads? Then-CA Attorney General Kamala Harris' 2019 response to a question about a Trump administration dictate on gender-affirming (read: trans) care for federal inmates

click graphic above for actual She's for They/Them ad

And the amount of money the Harris campaign spent countering those She's for They/Them ads in the swing states during NFL and NCAA football games? You know, to point out the truth that she was simply responding to a question about a Trump administration dictate on gender-affirming for federal inmates? To counter the deceptive, the lying-by-omission ads run by Trump & company?

Zero dollars

The efficacy of this strategy was born out election night, 2024, when Steve Kornacki was calling individual counties (starting with Pennsylvania) and highlighting that the Harris/Walz ticket was falling short of votes as opposed to the votes in the 2020 election for the Biden/Harris ticket. His reporting was, in effect, a death by 1,000 cuts for Harris/Walz.

Trump & company knew that all it would take would be the suppression of Biden votes in 2024 by just a point or two for Trump to carry those counties, all 7 swing states and, ultimately, the election. They judged, correctly, that men - men of color and white - would be turned off enough by the "pro-trans" Harris that they voted for Trump, or didn't vote at all.

Either way, mission accomplished.

Not even a mention of "AIPAC".

Nothing whatsoever.

ATLANTA (AP) After losing the White House and both houses of Congress, Democrats are grappling with how to handle transgender politics and policy following a campaign that featured withering and often misleading GOP attacks on the issue.

There is plenty of second-guessing after President-elect Donald Trump anchored his victory over Vice President Kamala Harris with sweeping promises on the economy and immigration. But Democrats also will not soon forget the punchline in anti-transgender Trump ads that became ubiquitous by Election Day:

"Kamala is for they/them; President Trump is for you."

Again ...

"AIPAC" is nowhere to be found, Coriolanus.

Sweeping trans-people under the rug seems to be your take. Their concerns are clearly not your concerns.

Interesting.

Puling self-righteousness will never remove the stain the 'I'm taking my ball and going home' left will forever carry by not voting to prevent Trump from winning.

Sorry, but your anti-Dem/anti-Israel schtick is not only very old and tiring but it's short sighted, childish bulls*&^ to boot.
