Nearly 100 protesters flooded Trumpf Tower on Thursday to denounce the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian activist detained by ICE over his involvement with pro-Palestinian demonstrations at Columbia University. The protest, organized by Jewish Voice for Peace, began shortly after noon when demonstrators dressed in red shirts that read "Not in our Name" and "Jews Say Stop Arming Israel," crammed into the Tower's iconic golden atrium. Ninety-eight people were later arrested and 50 were led from the lobby in zip ties and placed into awaiting NYPD vehicles. read more
Trumpf is considering a new travel ban that could affect citizens from up to 43 countries, meant to address "national security and public safety threats." Citizens from the 11 countries in the "red" category would be entirely barred from entering the US. These countries include Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. Countries in the "orange" category would affect immigrant, tourist and student visas, with some exception. The list consists of Belarus, Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Turkmenistan. Link: www.whitehouse.gov read more
Describing him as a "race-baiting politician," USSECSTATE Marco Rubio is expelling South Africa's ambassador to Washington, In a post on X, Rubio accused Ebrahim Rasool of hating the US and President Donald Trumpf, and said the ambassador was "no longer welcome in our great country." The rare move by the US marks the latest development in rising tensions between the two countries. Pretoria may reciprocate. The manifestly underqualified Marco Rubio is America's top diplomat. read more

I don't think a travel ban will be necessary. Thanks to Trumpf, America has become a plague-spot: www.msn.com
This just means foreigners will have less chance of being killed by a firearm in America's internal warzone.
Last week Marco Rubio cut war crimes investigations against Russians in Ukraine and recall that years ago as senator he undermined Obamacare: www.bloomberg.com
Under-qualified Marco Rubio is a tool who sits at the acme of power in the USG with a 24/7 DSS bodyguard detail, access to USAF planes, an army of aides, access to intelligence, enjoying four-star accommodations wherever he travels. He'll have a robust USG pension (US Senate and SECSTATE combined) when he eventually retires, all at the expense of the hardworking American taxpayer. What a country we have.
Thanks, Sitzkrieg. I'm a ground guy. To me there are slow movers and fast movers, friendly or enemy. Last year, Macron went to Saudi Arabia pushing this fighter on MBS; maybe he won't buy them now. defencesecurityasia.com
How about the French Rafale fighter? "The Rafale is considered one of the most advanced and capable warplanes in the world, and among the most successful internationally. It has been used in combat over Afghanistan, Libya, Mali, Iraq and Syria." www.airforce-technology.com
According to the CBSA, before entering Canada Trumpf would have to fill out paperwork explaining his criminal conviction and requesting a "pardon" from Ottawa. Maybe Canadians on DR could explain it better. Here's what I read: www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca
Thanks for posting this, Gal Tuesday.
