I strongly suspect Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) caved in to the Repub-Likud budget last week to ensure uninterrupted massive US aid to Israel continues. His argument that a government shutdown would make monitoring DOGE sounded good, but was a fiction. I can't prove it, hence I use the term "suspect." Note that Senator Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) were against supporting the Repub-Likud budget and neither receive a nickel from AIPAC.
