Heavily armed and masked ICE storm troopers raided Chinatown's Canal Street, detaining several street vendors drawing fierce backlash from bystanders and immigrant advocates. The crackdown began at about 3PM in the area of Centre and Canal Streets where ICE brownshirts showed up to question street vendors as part of an alleged operation to tackle counterfeit goods, according to DHS. A crowd of New Yorkers surrounded the thugs as they carried out the enforcement action in Lower Manhattan. Within moments, ICE agents moved in to arrest some of the bystanders as well, prompting further fury from the gathering crowd. New Yorkers pulled out their cellphones and began recording the ICE operation. Some onlookers shouted at the agents, calling the arrests "disgusting" and demanding they stop as they tackled one individual to the ground. One person scolded the agents, "Does that feel good? **** NATIONWIDE SPINACH RECALL (LISTERIA) ****
The FDA informs: Sno Pac Foods is recalling its Del Mar 35-pound Bulk Organic Frozen Spinach and Sno Pac 10-ounce Organic Frozen Cut Spinach because of possible listeria monocytogenes contamination. No illnesses have been reported to the Caledonia, Minnesota-based company in connection with the recalled spinach, which was sold in retail stores nationwide: FDA.gov.
Production of the affected spinach has been suspended while the company investigates.
Listeria infections can cause serious illness, particularly in older adults, people with weakened immune systems and those who are pregnant or their newborns. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions.

Remarkably enough, at the debate last night Curtis Sliwa condemned the death threat against Zohran Mamdani, a case being prosecuted by Queens DA Melinda Katz. Andrew "AIPAC" Cuomo did not.
Sliwa, an animal lover, will show more integrity by staying in the race and losing than the Judas Iscariot of the Democratic Party.
