Portland Trailblazers head coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat player Terry Rozier were separately arrested Thursday morning in connection with federal investigations into gambling, a law enforcement official told CNBC. Billups, a former player for the Detroit Pistons who spent 17 years in the NBA, was arrested in Portland. Billups, a five-time All-Star, was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2024. Rozier was arrested in Orlando, Florida. Rozier, a 10-year NBA veteran, reportedly had been eyed for months over suspicious sports betting activity related to his play. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York, and FBI Director Kash Patel are scheduled to hold a press conference on the cases on Thursday morning. Billups was named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player in 2004 when the Pistons defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in the league's finals.

Another example of Republicans giving people opportunities to make Bad Decisions, then punishing them for doing the stupid things Republicans just allowed them to do.

Another ingenious way for the Trumpf junta to target successful black people. Why else have D/FBI Kashyap Pramod "I'll Have The Butter Chicken" Patel have a press conference over this? Let's see who else this dragnet captures.

One AI overview of the multi-billion dollar sports betting industry:

"The US sports betting market was valued at about $17.94 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $27.4 billion by 2033, growing at a rate of over 10% per year. "And didn't the Brooklyn Bombers beat the Yankees in the World Series with a last second field goal?"

D/FBI Kashyap Pramod Vinod "I'll Have the Butter Chicken" Patel certainly sounds like a regular American.
