Asian perspectives of the US have shifted from a country once perceived as a force of "moral legitimacy" to something akin to "a landlord seeking rent," Singapore's defense chief said on the sidelines of an international security meeting. One example is that from the time of President John F. Kennedy's inaugural address more than 60 years ago, the image of the US was of a country that would not allow tyranny such as colonial control to be replaced by another form of tyranny. Now "the image has changed from liberator to great disruptor to a landlord seeking rent," according to a prepared text of his remarks posted on a government website over the weekend. read more

Yes, they've always built their own. And now they know they can't rely on US, they have every incentive to increase their own production and cut the US out of the equation wherever possible. With the side-effect of encouraging them to push their own weapon sales abroad.
Censored genuine question ... Are Republicans Nazis or Communists now? It's hard to keep up.

I think you might be conflating Republicans with MAGAts. It's an easy mistake to make as there is significant overlap. But there is stark difference between Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, Reagan, the Bushes and their voters from the Orange Miscreant and his supporters.
And Russia isn't communist. Its fascist.
Ruscism, a portmanteau of Russian fascism, is a neologism and a derogatory term which is used to describe the political ideology and policies of the Russian state under Vladimir Putin. It is used in reference to the Russian state's autocratic political system, ultranationalism and neo-imperialism, militarism, expansionism, corporatism, close alignment of church and state, political repression, use of censorship and state propaganda, and a cult of personality around Putin.Pretty much describes the MAGAt mentality to the tee, swapping out Hair Furor for Putin.

I think you meant we are forcing them to foot more of the bill. Glad it's finally happening.

Sure, they're footing more of the bill. And they're also building their own weapons because they realize that they can't rely upon the US when the chips are down, even when there is no doubt which side we should be on.
Wear that MAGAt had with pride. Or swap it out for an ushanka. They mean about the same thing at this point.

That is the course that many employees will follow.
The best employees are the most likely to leave over return-to-office mandates, new survey says
Gartner described a "high-performing employee" as someone "who had progressed faster in their career compared to peers." The reason these employees were less likely to stay, the study said, was because they feel a strict policy translates to distrust to do their job. The study also points out that these employees also may have an easier time finding another job " one that gives them the flexibility to work from home.
"High-performing employees are more easily able to pursue opportunities at organizations that offer hybrid or fully remote policies," said Caitlin Duffy, director in the Gartner HR practice.
