In case there's any doubt, American Interventionism is back as demonstrated by the overnight attacks on Caracas, and the forced extradition of President Nicols Maduro. The latest attacks on Venezuela demonstrate that the charade of Donald Trump as a man of peace continues unabated.

In less than one year, he has attacked Yemen, Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Nigeria, and Venezuela. He has also said that additional attacks may be needed against Venezuela and Iraq, and has suggested that Colombia, Cuba and even Mexico could be next on the list.

An 18-year-old Burger King worker intended to commit a terrorist attack with knives and hammers at a grocery store or fast-food restaurant in a Charlotte, N.C., suburb on New Year's Eve, the FBI said on Friday. Prosecutors charged the suspect, Christian Sturdivant of Mint Hill, N.C., with attempting to provide material support to Islamic State, according to court documents. "The FBI and partners foiled another potential New Year's Eve attack from an individual allegedly inspired by ISIS," FBI Director Kash Patel said. North Carolina now only recognizes two genders, male and female, based on biological sex at birth. The intent is to stop transgender people from being allowed to change their gender on official state documents.


San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie approved a new law setting up a reparations fund to compensate for slavery and racial discrimination that passed the city's Board of Supervisors earlier in December. In a statement to Newsweek, Lurie emphasized that while the new law sets up a reparations fund, the city is not allocating money to it. "I was elected to drive San Francisco's recovery, and that's what I'm focused on every day. We are not allocating money to this fund"with a historic $1 billion budget deficit, we are going to spend our money on making the city safer and cleaner," he said. The fund was set up in response to recommendations for single payments of as much as $5 million to any Black San Franciscans who might be eligible. Read more
