President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to the lowest point of either of his terms in office, according to a new Economist/YouGov poll.
The survey, conducted July 25-27 among 1,559 U.S. adult citizens, found 34 percent approve of the job Trump is doing as president, down 2 points from the previous week, while 62 percent disapprove, up 2 points.
It is the lowest approval rating Trump has recorded with the pollster since returning to office, surpassing previous lows notched earlier this year.

(KWCH/Gray News) -- A 37-year-old teacher was released from a Kansas jail after posting bail following his arrest at a city meeting where zoning changes for a proposed data center project were passed. Lux Claridge, an Emporia High School physics teacher, was arrested for interference with law enforcement after clapping during the meeting. Commissioners warned those in attendance against disruptive behavior, including clapping, snapping or rude comments. Lux Claridge and several others clapped in support of speakers opposing the Flint Hills Digital Campus data center. As early as October 2024, New Jersey lawmakers heard that some noncitizens were registering to vote through state Motor Vehicle Commission offices. The issue, county election officials said at a public hearing, appeared to be tied to the state "motor-voter" system, which can add residents to votor rolls when they do vehicle-related transactions. The commission offices' computer system asked in English whether users were U.S. citizens and eligible to cast ballots, and some people did not appear to speak or read the language well.
