McConnell owes the people of his state (and the nation) a lot more transparency than he's giving them. But, then, Mitch has always seen himself as an entitled taker, not a grateful giver. Hook him up to a battery with long, strong cables, flip the switch and let him dance.

Schedule the damn special election FFS.
Then they will respond.

Is that really Mitch or is it a mannequin look-alike. The chest looks a tad cave-like...

"Beshear Calls on McConnell for Proof of Ability to Serve"
Reasonable people should think this is a fair ask.

Dear Mitch:
Helluva pickle, huh? What you have to do, Mitch, is provide some convincing proof of life. Two reasons, Mitch:
(1) Rumors aplenty already swirl about you being dead, permanently incapacitated, etc. So, how's about let's put these to rest, shall we? (2) Given your reputation as a prevaricating and mendacious dipsh#t that requires something beyond two photos with the missus, in which you appears as a stand-in for Terry Kiser in his signature role (absent the shades); and well beyond reports of "talks" with other prevaricating and lying dipsh#t pol buddies offered up as as alibi witnesses.
No, Mitch, proof of life. You, facing the camera, talking, with a today's-date copy of the Lexington Herald-Leader or the Courier Journal, your choice, on discreet but noticeable display.
If you can't do that, then just get the ------ out.

Beshear should demand no less than in-person access, and some video/audio footage of the interaction between Mitch and himself. That's the only way anyone will be convinced of McConnell's condition at this point.

You'd think Gov Bashear has no access to state police investigators.

Fair point. If Mitch were in KY, Beshear would probably have the legal authority to order a "wellness check". Does anyone know where the "rehab facility" is? Articles I've looked at are vague.

@10 His location is all hush-hush, like an NSA secret. The governor's enormous resources can't locate Mitch McConell or prove he's alive. Declare him legally dead and appoint a temporary Democratic Senator. This is governmental malfeasance transpiring before our very eyes.
Third World Banana Republic stuff.

If this was NYC, Zohran Mamdani (D) would have NYPD detectives (First Grade, pinky ring and all) find this mutt in a day or two and like you wrote -- conduct a "wellness check" -- for the patient's sake and the sake of his constituents.
I don't get all this kabuki theater down there.
Who's in charge of the state of Kentucky?

@#11 ... His location is all hush-hush ...
Why might that be?
What is there to hide?
