The billionaire is using his social media platform as a megaphone to weigh in on political debates from the UK to Germany to Venezuela. His comments often follow a similar pattern -- and a backlash is brewing.

... Riots in the United Kingdom. Venezuela's presidential election. Germany's handling of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.

These are just three recent examples for where billionaire Elon Musk has waded into the political debates of other countries far from his home in Texas.

As the US prepares to elect a new president in November, Musk isn't just using his social media platform X to support Donald Trump's candidacy. The world's richest man also frequently tweets to his more than 193 million followers about political issues in other countries, often displaying what appears to be a limited understanding of the situations on the ground. ...

... Long considered ideologically non-identifiable, "Musk has openly supported more right-wing views and right-wing politicians since he acquired the platform," according to Matthew Facciani, a social scientist at the University of Notre Dame in the US.

Facciani, who studies social networks and political polarization, said Musk's online activity suggests the billionaire "consumes a substantial amount of right-wing content on his platform."

"Many people can fall into information echo chambers on social media, and Elon Musk appears to be no different, except for his massive wealth and influence," Facciani told DW. ...

And yet, the left can't quit Twitter(X) or promoting Musk. This is why they fail at boycotts. GOYA!

Musk is suing Twitter's customers (advertisers) to try to force them to spend money with Twitter. Sounds like the boycott is going pretty well.

Hopefully another country's spy apparatus will have had enough and just end it.

Interesting. I wonder who is using ABC/NBC/CBS for similar purpose.

No one. They report news. It's different than right wing outlets who fill their airwaves with bullschitt.

I am not sure why he doesn't have a first amendment right, Mark Cuban, Bill Gates etal also tweets about these topics.

And as if Twitter before Elon didn't do this.

But now, now you care. FFS give it a rest.

I'm not a fan of Musk, but it's ridiculous to characterize his "weighing in on political debates" as 'meddling' in world politics. He has just much right to weigh in as any other lame celebrity or influencer.

I think we now understand the need for severe taxation for billionaires.

It would limit political meddling.

Maybe Joe can make him disappear as a parting Immune Official Act.

When is Elmo going to start suing people for not buying teslas?

How many other "lame" celebrities or influencers have more than 193 million followers?

Musk doesn't just weigh in on topics. He gaslights and lies and promotes the fascists in every situation. He's incredibly ill-informed and never fails to boost the people who post altered photos and false narratives. He surrounds himself with the same sycophantic weasels who adore Trump and other tyrants.

Delon Trusk and JV Thiel have gone mask off. X is a MAGA bullhorn. Unfortunately, MAGAts have room temperature IQs, at best, so they think these bozos are saving the world from "eating bugs" or something. Idiots.
