Trump Cancels NRA Rally Appearance Amid Decline Concerns

Former President Donald Trump abruptly cancelled an appearance at an NRA event in Savannah, Georgia, fueling public concerns about his mental state.

The 39 minute "let's music" fest was him sundowning in real time.

He doesn't answer a question in any meaningful way and always diverts into things that make no sense....if he said So I Tied An Onion To My Belt, Which Was The Style At The Time it would be more meaningful.

Will the media cover this? No.

We saw Biden falling off his bike, tripping over a sandbag, etc over and over and over and over.

But this? Nothing to see here, move along.

It would be nice if the IRS would enforce the restriction on political activities of non-profits.

If Trump gets elected, after a "decent interval" the 25th will be invoked and it will be President JD.

JD is happy about this, as it means he won't have to push Donald down the stairs.

Trump cancels a streak of events with only days until election
www.axios.com

... Former President Trump's planned appearance at a National Rifle Association event next week was cancelled Thursday, the latest in a slew of scuttled public appearances and interviews by the former president in recent weeks.

Why it matters: With only 17 days to go until Election Day, the spate of cancellations gives voters fewer chances to hear from Trump before heading to the polls in a coin toss race.

- - - Vice President Kamala Harris, on the other hand, has been on a media blitz after enduring criticism from Republicans about a perceived lack of interviews.

- - - And while Harris has ventured into the unfriendly territory of a Fox News interview, Trump has stuck to the safe spaces of conservative outlets.

- - - In the appearances he has made, Trump's rhetoric has grown more violent and nativist. In recent weeks, he has decried his critics as the "enemy from within" and fanned the flames of false conspiracy theories about migrants.

Driving the news: The NRA said Thursday it had cancelled its "Defend the 2nd" event with Trump in Savannah, Georgia, next week due to "campaign scheduling changes."

- - - Trump also pulled out of two mainstream media interviews this week, with NBC News and CNBC's "Squawk Box."

- - - Earlier this month he backed out of a scheduled appearance on CBS' "60 Minutes," while Harris appeared on the program.

- - - The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to Axios' request for comment. ...

He canceled 2 mainstream media interviews too. His sudden health decline should be noted. Saw this in my Aunt with dementia too. The dancing thing? Ya, she did stuff like that...

Trump is now so afraid of people with guns that he's turning his back on the NRA. I'm thinking he will ban guns if he is elected. That's what fascist dictators do.

Old man be tired. SAD!

The gun advocacy group later scrapped the entire event.

In other words, Lewzer was the event.

@#8 ... n other words, Lewzer was the event. ...

It certainly looks that way.

My immediate thought was he owes it to voters to either end his campaign or provide a report from his doctors stating that his health and mental fitness for office are strong enough to serve a four year term as President.

I'm sure J.D. Vance would say he only needs a statement that he can make it till election day.

You Democrats are a funny weird strange lot. When Biden was acting more progressively out of it and weird and strange over the last 4 years you and your un-elected say/do nothing Kamala covered it up and had nothing to say about it except to claim he is brilliant. Then you made a flighty dancing Tim Walz as your VP candidate.

@#13 ... You Democrats are a funny weird strange lot. ...

As I suggested to your current AI bot previously, it really should go through it's storage and replace "Democrats" with "Republicans."

@#5 ... His sudden health decline should be noted. ...

Yup.

Yet, all we seem to see here is denial from the MAGA folk.

Weird, I saw him do a 90 minute live stream with Dan Bongino, The Chicago Economic Club for 2 hours, and the Al Smith dinner ... The decline -------- only worked on Biden when you guys idiotically coup'd him.

According to Politico, the former president's people alerted the hosts of The Shade Room podcast that, Trump is "exhausted and refusing [some] interviews but that could change." In lieu of Trump, the hosts were reportedly offered Trump supporter Waka Flocka Flame as an alternative.

Waka Flocka Flame? This is ------- hilarious.

Joe Biden is a very good president.
If Harris wins Joe Biden will have been a great president.

Hans, it's very evident you're more annoying all of the time than Lamp can sometimes be. Let this serve as a formal notice if you @ me moving forward I won't be giving you the time of day.
