Vice President Kamala Harris called her opponent to concede and will now give the traditional concession speech. In a democracy, these steps are the crucial building blocks which help enable the peaceful transfer of power.

Why is she conceding? Trump still hasn't conceded 2020.

#2 | Posted by PussyFort at 2024-11-06 04:24 PM

Democrats will fundraise like mad over the next four years. They love being the opposition party. Newsom's campaign kicks off today! Almost like it was planned!

@#2 ... Why is she conceding? Trump still hasn't conceded 2020. ...

My guess would be that VP Harris is dedicated to the peaceful transfer of power, something that apparently was not on Pres-elect Trump's agenda back on 2020/2021.

Newsom's campaign kicks off today!

Sigh.

Joe Bide is still the potus.

What different nation this would be today if Donald Trump had yhe decency to have conceded in2020! But he isn't decent and we shall see him prove that over the next four years.

#9 | Posted by danni at 2024-11-06 04:44 PM

the tears were particularly delicious to see...

the avalanche of campaign platitudes still going on and on and on.....would make anyone weep.

now....get out.

Well the MAGA have spoken. They wanted a felonious douchebag adulterous person as President rather than a woman and they are getting it.
Say goodbye to Obama care. Say goodbye to much of the federal government oversight on health and safety.
Say HELLO to Steven Miller as deportation czar. Brain worm Kennedy as HHS. Two more YOUNG MAGA trumpanzee candidates for the Supreme Court (Two will now retire.)

Say hello in a year or so to President J.D. Couchboy Vance.

Vaccines will be outlawed.

Flouride removed from the drinking water.

Because RFK Jr. read something on the internet

#12 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-11-06 04:55 PM

You all are panicking over nothing. You'll learn to love him like a father figure. Then we'll all be friends.

Newsom's campaign kicks off today!

There's no way in hell he's getting elected.

Well, he'll be running against Vance and Trump Jr. Maybe you're right.

I'm suggesting the Dems better find someone else. They just got their butts kicked with one California liberal...

Kamala is hardly liberal. A moderate at best.

AOC turned 35 last month ;)

#18 | Posted by GOnoles92 at 2024-11-06 05:46 PM

She didn't concede. She's telling her supporters to continue to fight and resist and use the courts.

#19 | Posted by visitor_ at 2024-11-06 06:14 PM

Before you can choose a presidential candidate you have to choose the platform.

#20 | Posted by NerfHerder at 2024-11-06 06:17 PM

What was the Republican platform?

#21 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-11-06 06:18 PM

Project 2025.

#22 | Posted by visitor_ at 2024-11-06 06:26 PM

She did what he should have done last time, but was too much a violent, lying, criminal traitor thug to man up and to concede.

A much better 'man' than him. And a much more patriotic American.

According Clarence Thomas' reading of the Constitution, Trump can run again in 2028 because the terms were not consecutive.

Trump can run again in 2028

He'll be lucky to make it to next summer.

That's ignorance talking. He can't run again in 2028. The Constitution does not say that the two terms must run consecutive to each other. It says that the presidency is limited to two terms or 10 years. Which ever comes first.

#26 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2024-11-06 07:46 PM

LOL the constitution is just a piece of paper.

#28 | Posted by truthhurts at 2024-11-06 08:18 PM

#27 Darren Young There were a lot of us white folks that voted for Harris. I'm 70 and I have never voted for Trump. I voted for Hillary in 2016, Biden in 2020 and Harris yesterday so did my husband. Now are you also mad at the Latino and black men that voted for Trump instead of Harris? They said it was economics.

#35 | Posted by Ronnie68 at 2024-11-06 10:31 PM

#19 Visitor She conceded and she called Trump and congetulated him. She was telling them that they need to fight politically by voting, by protesting bad policies and by letting their congressperson or Senator how they feel on policies that they're voting on.

#36 | Posted by Ronnie68 at 2024-11-06 10:35 PM

#19 Visitor #36 She congratulated Trump

#17 | Posted by LauraMohr

I think the last few elections have proven that the current apparatus insures that a progressive liberal will never be elected POTUS in my lifetime.

#39 | Posted by Whatsleft at 2024-11-07 11:26 AM

Ari Fleischer hit the nail on the head when he said Kamala Harris supporters were over whelmingly rich, college educated and had no interest in religion.

Few were of a practical and engineering or STEM mindset. Most of our society does not want what leftists want. We do not want uninvited criminal invaders here that must be supported by citizens that are struggling themselves. Citizens have voted.

No he can not run in 2028. He will have two terms finished by then.

Oh Laura you sweet summer child. You don't know what is possible when people have no shame

For example I thought it spelled out pretty clear that an insurrectionist couldn't hold office. If the 14th don't matter the 22nd won't either
