Here's an agenda most Dems and a lot of swing voters could agree upon:

"A path to citizenship for millions of immigrants"
"Appoint Supreme Court justices who will get money out of politics and expand voting rights"
"If necessary," a "constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United"
"The minimum wage should be a living wage"
"The right to affordable health care"
"Say no to unfair trade deals"
"Expand Social Security"
"Protect a woman's right to make her own health care decisions"
"Equal pay" (for women)
"Pass the biggest investment in new, good-paying jobs since World War II" and "invest in infrastructure"
"Make college tuition free for the middle class and debt-free for all."
"Wall Street, corporations, and the superrich are going to start paying their fair share of taxes."
"Pass commonsense [gun] reforms and keep guns out of the hands of criminals"
"Put ourselves in the shoes of young black and Latino men and women who face the effects of systemic racism"
"Reform our criminal justice system from end to end"
"Defend all our rights " civil rights, human rights and voting rights, women's rights and workers' rights, LGBT rights, and the rights of people with disabilities"

This is not a moderate agenda."

That's a winning agenda, except the EQUAL PAY FOR WOMEN part. Women get paid less because of the jobs they take. And this WOMEN VS THE PATRIARCHY stuff is why young men are moving to the right. We need to bring men back in to the party and stop telling them they're the problem.

And the minimum wage part isn't quite thought out. A teenager working a summer job at an ice cream shop doesn't need enough money to rent an apartment and support a child.

The message is weak from almost any politician if you look at it that way, as almost all are somewhat compromised by the system.

The point is that her policies were much better for America than the Trumper's; they weren't conservative at all, hardly moderate, mostly progressive and or left leaning.

They don't have to be perfect, they only have to be better. Until there is campaign finance reform and the oligarchs don't own the Politian and the Media; as long as money is speech and it talks... there will be no representation in Gov for the People who created it, only for the people who bribe the politicians.

Well, looks like the Xitter replacement is decided.

Just signed up for Bluesky, and followed AOC. I hope she runs in 2028 (I mean, assuming we even get an election), I'd love to be able to vote for somebody who's at least on the center-left for once, I'm sick of the center-right and right wing garbage the Democratic Party keeps pushing at us.
