hospital closures that have occurred following the withdrawal of U.S. foreign aid.

POSTED BY YAV

MAGA welcomes the closures like they welcome the deaths.

You can't guilt them with the death of foreigners.

They weren't guilt-tripped by the deaths of fellow Americans.

It will have to happen to them, personally.

There needs to be a Trump deathcount website if there already isn't

The EU, China, Brazil etc can't pay for it?

#5 | Posted by Bluewaffles at 2025-02-12 09:16 PM

So, these hospitals can't function without US foreign aid?

I saw that 2 children froze to death in their parents' van in Detroit this week. Funny, how their deaths don't matter but if the left thinks it can score political points by dancing on the graves of foreigners - all in!

Posting a thread about the consequences of our governments actions isn't being a Gracie. It's a stark reminder of what our countries actions have wrought on others.

Maybe they can? Maybe China's never been in our best interest to have in there? Maybe the EU is doing other things that also help, and we are doing this? Maybe Brazil can't pay for a damn thing?

Your "points" are beyond stupid on so many levels, but the first and primary level is that NO WARNING WAS GIVEN and Musk, the sociopath under Trump, the sociopath don't care what happens when they suddenly end life saving aid. None.

And here you are trumpeting and supporting it. Do you have any idea what that says about you? What you are?

This is USAIDs version of the Firemen First Principle

The hospital in question receives NGO funding has self-reported assets of $630 million. Including $169 million in cash and a $98 million stock portfolio.

NGO that couldn't afford oxygen is: International Rescue Committee (IRC)
IRC's CEO, David Milliband, has a salary of $1.2 MILLION, and is a former member of British Parliament!
Other officers are pulling in $300k-400k.
IRC's annual revenue is over $1.3 BILLION

A big driver of their revenue? HHS and State Department grants for, you guessed it......assistance/resettlement for "refugees" and entrants to the US
Which received $430 million for it from '21-'23'

So what LyninYav is telling us, is that a 1.3Billion dollar organization stolen from taxpayers, couldn't afford oxygen for some lady in Thailand.

And he wants you to be outraged about health insurers.

Does it get any more hilarious?

#17 | Posted by oneironaut at 2025-02-13 03:13 PM

LyinYav would have you beleive that the CEO kickin it, with $1.2Million dollar salary is only doing this out of the kindness of his heart.

That the CEO himself couldn't have intervened and donated a small portion of his income to save this old lady, no no, not him.
That the hostpical itself with Millions in reserve, couldn't have intervened and donated a small portion of its assests to save this old lady, no no, not the hospital.

Both of which are supposedly tasked with helping the poor and needy.

But its YOU, its YOU that is a greedy little taxpayer, barely scraping by paycheck to paycheck that is required to sacrifice.

Among all the outrage guilt throwing posts of LyinYav, this is the crux of the Lumper argument. ------- hilarious.

#18 | Posted by oneironaut at 2025-02-13 03:21 PM

This is classic....

USAID: British politician complaining that his wife was supposed to get $1M in USAID grants.
Rory Stewart's wife runs Turquoise Mountain Foundation, which exposes modern art to Afghan women.

LyinYav is already worried about the tragedy in Afghanistan where the women can get their images of a "crucifixion in jar of piss"?

You sure filled this thread up with strawman arguments.

I was specific and clear on what I said.

#21 | Posted by ClownShack at 2025-02-13 05:32 PM

5 minutes of research and I found out the NGO that couldn't afford oxygen without USAID has a $98 million stock portfolio and a CEO making $1.2 million a year.

#22 | Posted by homerj at 2025-02-13 07:25 PM

The CEO of the NPO couldn't have bought her the oxygen then?

#23 | Posted by Bluewaffles at 2025-02-14 12:27 PM

#22 and #23 - Are you both actually that stupid? Did you engage your brains at all before posting? Or are you just utterly clueless on the scale of things, and that the US accounted for 50% of the aid going to the IRC specifically for these hospitals on the Myanmar/Thai border to care for these refugees? Do you know the size and scope of IRC's work?

It's always blame everyone else for the repercussions of your incredibly bad decisions. That's why you love you some Trump. He's a master at killing people and blaming everyone else for it.

#26 | Posted by Bluewaffles at 2025-02-14 02:24 PM

I think you're failing to understand something fundamental here ... and the position of Republicans. 1) We don't have the money 2) If we did have the money we should be helping our own citizens out first 3) If there's left over money sure we can look into helping.

#27 | Posted by Bluewaffles at 2025-02-14 02:26 PM

1) We don't have the money

We do have the money. We spend it on war and teslas and space X and going to mars.

What we don't have money for is helping the poor.

Plus the rich need another tax break. The fact billionaires are taxed less than I am is absolutely ridiculous.

2) If we did have the money we should be helping our own citizens out first

Like ... welfare???? Paying off student loans???? Providing American citizens with healthcare????

Who are you lying to? Republicans have zero intention of doing any of that.

They're more interested in giving the rich tax cuts and spending the budget on space exploration.

3) If there's left over money sure we can look into helping.

What? The money was already available. You didn't even realize it was being spent.

Now you're hyperventilating about expenses.

Just shut up and go sit in the corner while Musk and Trump chop up the federal government and give themselves another tax cut.

Clownshack 1) we are 34 trillion in debt (we don't have the money).
2) when I say helping people welfare yes but for the following people: disabled veterans, the elderly who do not have the funds to properly care for themselves (ie choosing between food and medication) and the terminally disabled. As for the rest, bootstrap time. 3) See back to 1

#42 | Posted by Bluewaffles at 2025-02-14 07:31 PM

- we are 34 trillion in debt

That must be why we are cutting taxes for the people who don't need tax cuts by raiding and stealing funds from Social Security and Medicare.

Makes perfect sense if you are completely morally and legally bankrupt.

#48 | Posted by BellRinger at 2025-02-14 10:12 PM

Here is a government spending chart. It's in "inflation adjusted dollars" which is normally fine but when we had a year of extremely excessive inflation it skews the numbers to make government spending look better than it actually was.

So, when you leaving for Thailand? It is a ladyboy paradise, you would fit right in.

But then again, you would know that that ladyboy stuff is mostly confined to the red light district. It isn't accepted as much in the mainstream parts of Thailand as most people there are VERY religious.

But you keep lying to yourself or listening to other people's lies.

#51 | Posted by Danforth at 2025-02-14 10:33 PM

Nope. I think we need nominal tax increases that scale on a predictable and that are slow enough that people can plan for it.

E.G. Social Security. A half point increase on each side coupled with an age increase of eligibility that goes 1 year, say, 8 years from now and another year 5 years after that.

we have money to spend on sending migrants our of the US on military aircraft - at, what, eight times the cost we have previously paid using commercial/charter planes? You have no issue with spending close to a million per flight when it's not at all needed or warranted.

No it won't and you have nothing to use a proof of your statement.

People who do the migrant type work are doing so with work visas set up for that industry. The masses who flocked here over the last few years did so with no way of getting a legal job.

If you don't have a defined border and a port of entry, you don't have a country. And if you have a rule of law regarding immigration that the masses decide to ignore, you have anarchy.
Nothing you say about this subject is remotely true, it's just a bunch of fear-porn someone is spoon feeding you

"They come and just stand around outside staring at everyone. But then a man or woman pulls up, in a truck, and asks them if they want a job? They all pile into the back of the truck and off they go to do all the jobs spoiled Americans won't do but that we all depend on someone doing; guess what? Most of all the vegetables, dairy product and meats don't just mysteriously appear at your favorite grocery store. someone picked those crops, gathered, those eggs, milked those cows, processed that milk and created butter and cheese. Someone, somewhere worked to make it possible for you to enjoy your meal. Surprise! That someone is an immigramt; how many of you came here and had to go through the very slow immigration process? Anyone? But you still expect all the foods you love to be readily available without considering how they got there or the people involved and what they went through to make your favorite sandwich available!
Very dirtu little secret, extremely dirty! The leaders in all the food industries know they depend on illrgal immigrants every single day even as they contributed to Donald Trump's campaign and his vow to deport millions of undocumented prople even though they work every day and pay taxes. He knows that he eats vegetables picked by undocumented people every day. We all do! But, only some of us are hell bent on deporting those people. So, here is my challenge especially for MAGAs: Can you can feed dyourself and your family without any edible products cultivated, picked, processed or shipped without any illegal alien effort?
Can you honestly say that your family could eat as well if Donald Trump's plan of deporting millions of people succeeds? Donald Trump's plan leaves out one essential detail; who is going to replace all these people he deports? But then he's too dumb to consider the consequences of anything he does! But I would think that at least some of the MAGAs are smart enough to consider who they think will replace the people Trump deports. Maybe Im giving MAGAs too much credit, it probably never occurs to then that Trump wants to deport the people who make food affordable in this country. joy hunger MAGAmorons!
