Putin just Called Trump's Bluff on Ukraine

A "no" is not a "yes" when it is a "maybe," a "probably not," or an "only if." This is the painfully predictable lesson the Trump administration's first real foray into wartime diplomacy with the Kremlin has dealt.

It would be kind of funny if it weren't so tragic.

Trump getting played is, well, expected. The cost of his incompetence paid by the Ukrainian people is unacceptable.

We had a four year sample of Trump's behavior to know that he can't find his rear end with both hands.

But here he is back, anyway.

By the way, 57 minutes after... Putin promised not to attack energy infrastructure, they attacked energy infrastructure in Ukraine," said Browder. "And so Putin can't be believed. His promises can't be trusted. And to put it quite simply, he's humiliating Trump in front of the whole world."

#7 | Posted by reinheitsgebot at 2025-03-19 09:32 AM

per the Kremlin readout " a month-long mutual pause on attacks against "energy infrastructure." This last phrase is where an easily avoidable technical minefield begins. Per US President Donald Trump's post and that of his press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, the agreement concerned "energy and infrastructure." These are two entirely different sets of ideas.

Protecting Russia's oil was always Trump's goal here. It's an easy target for Ukraine and gave them decent leverage against Putin. So Russia promises to stop attacking Ukraine's energy, which is of limited harm to Ukraine now anyway since winter is now over, and Ukraine is prevented (upon threat of Trump sabotaging Ukraine's defenses again) from damaging the main revenue source Russia has left.

It doesn't take much to outclass a man who did so much cocaine he can't control his bowels and has to wear a dipaer.

And yet -- all of his supporters think he outclasses them!

Now I'm wondering if wearing a diaper, specifically for bowel incontinence is the strongest predictor of being a Trump supporter over 50.

we mean "outsmarted", correct?

we're not going to assign "class" to Vladimir Putin, are we? we're that desperate to make a point that we're going to assign class to Putin?

VA is phasing out treatment for gender dysphoria. All savings from this change will go toward helping paralyzed Veterans and amputees. I mean no disrespect to anyone, but if Veterans want to attempt to change their sex, they can do so on their own dime.

Russia attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones and S-300 surface-to-air missiles overnight, Ukrainian authorities said, hours after Vladimir Putin told Donald Trump he would sign up to a partial and temporary ceasefire.
The US and Russian presidents spoke for more than two hours on Tuesday evening, and while Putin rejected Trump's request for a full 30-day ceasefire " to which Ukraine had agreed last week in Saudi Arabia " the pair agreed on a moratorium on strikes on energy and infrastructure targets.

-As long as they weren't targeting energy and infrastructure targets....
