US President Donald Trump's administration is working to bring back nearly 25,000 fired federal workers after judges ruled their terminations were illegal, court documents show.

The Trump administration in court filings has for the first time acknowledged that it fired nearly 25,000 recently hired workers, and said federal agencies were working to bring all of them back after a judge ruled that their terminations were likely illegal reut.rs/4iS7r8e

Do the employees have legal recourse beyond back pay? Can they mount a case demanding damages for the tremendous emotional stress and suffering. They seem like there would be some litigation which will make them whole ?

The action was on its face reckless, inadequately researched, carelessly planned and executed, and maliciously implemented and applied.

Meanwhile, back at my local supermarket this afternoon, overheard chatter in the aisles and in the checkout line revolved mainly around the noticeable appearance of empty spaces on shelves store-wide. My little solid-red burg has officially entered into it's FAFO phase. I'd point and giggle, but as I'm in the same sinking boat as they are, I believe some commiseration is in order.

15% of America employed by government. Many say they have best benefits and best compensation most security and most don't even need to show up at the office. And apparently fireproof too. The rest of the private sector serfs just need to pay their taxes.

Or if they did, they meant, in comparison to whatever it is you do for a living.

Not comparing what they make in the government to a similar role in the private sector.

hopefully they don't bring any of them back and are just placating the media and the stupid courts. These ridiculous rulings aren't based on anything in the constitution or the law. The government can fire workers, they aren't entitled to a job with a federal agency
