Only Band Stevie Nicks Would Have Left Fleetwood Mac for

Despite not getting the call to join the band, Nicks did tell a story about getting an honorary membership, telling Rolling Stone, "Tom made me a little platinum sheriff's badge that had 24-karat gold and diamonds across the top and said to our honorary Heartbreaker, Stevie Nicks'."

Other songs from their catalog are more famous, but nothing sums up Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham's story like "Crystal." Here's how this 1973 gem became the ultimate Stevie-Lindsey song â†"

Horrible, boring song.

Petty did her a favor.

Better duo? Petty and Johnny Cash.

If only Stevie Nicks had left Fleetwood Mac. Started out as a blues band with three guitarists. She has a terribly irritating voice.

Weirdly, the story brought to mind the title of one of Tony Hillerman's Joe Leaphorn novels: Dance Hall of the Dead.

That set of vocal cords has been an absolute turn-off since Day One.

I'm with you. I think Stevie is great. In fact I think Tom petty was the one with the annoying, mediocre voice. Fleetwood Mac was way better. Still is.

Fleetwood Mac was one of the few older bands that I felt had staying power into the 1990s and 2000s.

Go Your own Way is one of my all time fave tunes. Great guitar.

I think they sounded really good together, better than either separately, though I liked both well enough depending on the song.

I love Stevie Nicks. She can nick me anytime she wants. She is still hot.

And I love how she always dresses like a gypsy.

Or a fairy. Or a goddess.

I'm with you, buddy. And it's her personality more than her looks that make her hot.

That's a good thing cuz' her voice is like fingernails on a blackboard.

Not a Fan.
