The kid is with his father at an ICE detention center in TX. ICE tried to give him to the mother, but the father told her to not open the door to ICE, fearing she would be taken as well. It is just a --- show here.

ICE today is claiming MN is protecting criminals, Head of Corrections Dept show video of the criminals being released into ICE custody from the jail 2 weeks ago.

ICE claiming there are over 1,400 criminals in the corrections system here. Head of Corrections contacted all the jails and there are less than 350.

Update to the subject of this thread. Per the father's lawyer, father and son crossed the border and stated they were seeking asylum. They are in the process, have filed paperwork and attended court dates as required. He had just picked up his child from pre-school. He pulled into his driveway and ICE arrested him. So, here you have another example of them following the system as you said you support, and ICE shows up at his house to arrest him.

A school employee saw something happening and stopped to see what was going on. She said she would take the boy back to school and hold him safely until the mother could pick him up later. She said there was someone else inside the house that could have accepted the child, but ICE refused the requests.

So Bellringer, STD, Visitor, ISB and any others I may have missed, do YOU support this system of arresting those in the middle of the asylum process? Keep this up and you will encourage people to not follow the system because it is a setup to be arrested and deported.

Moving the goalposts but I'll bite. Those actually seeking asylum still need to come through established ports of entry. The asylum program has been exploited as a means of trying to gain entry knowing that i5 will be years before a judge hears the case and given th3 low percentage of cases that are granted asylum status speaks to my point that the system is being abused. The problem with applying for asylum through an established port of entry means they are properly processed and have to remain in Mexico while they wait for their case to be heard. Enter illegally, if they can avoid being caught (it didn't matter when Biden's handlers were in charge) then they can avoid remain in Mexico.

None of that changes the fact that this dad abandoned his kid and ICE did the right thing in regards to taking temporary custody of the child. Yet, as I read through the posts here it seems like lefties on this site think the ICE officer should have just handed the kid a quarter and sent him on his way.

They filed the paperwork and have attended their required court dates, which to me, is following the system.

Really? They just arrived home from school. The father was arrested in the driveway, the child was inside the house.

The Ramos have a pending asylum case and no order for deportation.

Another normal family adjusted into their community perfectly.
