Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp says control of the Strait of Hormuz has now "returned to its previous state" because of the US's continuing blockade of Iranian ports.

Yup.

Pres Obama took a different approach.

Negotiation.

And involving Russia, China, the EU in those negotiations with Iran.

The result of those negotiations was that Iran agreed not to develop a nulear weapon, and also agreed to onsite inspections.

Iran signed a treaty, not only with the US, but also with China, Russia, and members of the EU. Will Pres Trump accomplish that with his current war?

Yet, Pres Trump tore up that treaty and allowed Iran to enrich its uranium.

So, now Pres Trump seems to be trying to resolve a ~hornet's nest~ problem that he actually caused.

Will his eventual "solution" be better or worse than the treaty he tore up?
