'A Call To Conscience'

Statement of Cardinal Blase J. Cupich, archbishop of Chicago: "As more than 1,000 Iranian men, women and children lay dead after days of bombardment from U.S. and Israeli missiles, the official White House X account on Thursday evening posted a video of scenes from popular action movies spliced with actual strike footage from their war on Iran. The clip was captioned: "JUSTICE THE AMERICAN WAY." A real war with real death and real suffering being treated like it's a video game " it's sickening. Hundreds of people are dead, mothers and fathers, daughters and sons, including scores of children who made the fatal mistake of going to school that day. Six U.S. soldiers have been killed. They are also dishonored by that social media post. Hundreds of thousands displaced, and many millions more are terrified across the Middle East."

We elected an adjudicated rapist convicted of 34 felonies who cheated on his pregnant wife with a corn star, who bragged on video about sexually assaulting women and reveled on entering dressing rooms while underage girls were naked.

Situation is worse than even I thought, with Drinky Peter installing members of his white nationalist 'church' in the high command, and the wicked witch in the WH telling people that if they disobey Trump, they are disobeying God.

But it is actual Christians like the Archbishop in the thread article and the religious Military service members group that is spotlighted in the video defending the troops who object to being used this way.

What I find ironic is that most typical urban educated Iranians really like Americans in general. And yet they are the ones bearing the brunt of our bombs.

Regardless, killing civilians has never been a good look for the US military. Puts us in the same class as Netanyahu and Putin. Kill enough civilians and any differences between the bad guys become just a matter of degree.
