Well, yeah.
Some (most? mostly all?) of the witnesses who voluntarily testified before the J6 Committee were Republicans. Some of whom fmr Pres Trump hired.
So, what is fmr Pres Trump afraid of here?

That,in and of itself, is one major aspect that I all the attempted dismissals of what has been said against fmr Pres Trump.
Those that he had appointed to positions in the White House now seem to willing to testify against him.
