Is Tiny D going to fend off climate change by borrowing dotard's sharpie?

That's okay... climate change doesn't care and will erase most of Florida.

Incredible, really. What people will do for the lowest denominator votes.

You'll never convince me DeSantis isn't really an outcast pup from some invasive pack of grouchy nocturnal swamp creatures slip-slithering its way through the steamy Glades by the light of a fever moon.

No climate change, eh? Tell that to the property and casualty insurers now avoiding the Sunshine State...

"No climate change, eh? Tell that to the property and casualty insurers now avoiding the Sunshine State..."

Good point. But it's about using term "climate".

The State of Florida should be putting significant resources into mitigating the effects of climate change. Infrastructure and everything else that is possible to accomplish.

Mentioning "climate"? We have Floridians here.....is using the term "climate" good for the value of your home, your business, your job, etc right now in Florida?

I think an argument can be made the more you use that term the worse it is for Floridians.

Focus on the investments that make a difference for homeowners, business owners, all residents who have a stake in strong Florida.

But try to remember....Florida is just a state in a country that is currently bragging about record oil production.

Your side? Are we not all Americans?

So if you want us to leave Florida to it's own resources does that mean they won't come begging to the feds for billions in aid after the next hurricane that hits them?

WASHINGTON -- More than $5 billion in federal grants, disaster loans and flood insurance payments has been provided to the state of Florida and to households affected by Hurricane Ian to help survivors jumpstart their recovery.Jan 17, 2023

If you don't want to hear from your fellow Americans stop accepting their taxpayer money.

- your climate change crap

Funny how the US Military (a huge polluter themselves), and militaries around the world, have been at the forefront of preparing for climate change for a couple of decades now.

Microsoft's AI Push Jeopardizes Climate Goals as Emissions Surge
www.cnet.com

... The software giant's supply chain is responsible for the vast majority of emissions.

Microsoft made an ambitious pledge in 2020. Its goal is to remove more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than it emits by 2030, seeking to reverse its lifetime carbon emissions by 2050. But the software giant's carbon emissions jumped by 30% in 2023 compared to 2020, it said in its latest sustainability report, released on Wednesday.

The primary reason for this increase in emissions is the rapid construction of data centers, which require carbon-intensive building materials, as well as hardware components, Microsoft's report says.

This news comes as Microsoft continues its push to be a global leader in AI -- an ambition that's put its climate goals in jeopardy. Data centers are critical infrastructure for running and supporting AI models such as large language models, the technology behind OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google's Gemini, which are seeing surging adoption worldwide. Such AI-based services require more of the same power-hungry data centers built from carbon-intensive materials such as steel and concrete. ...

Outsourcing your pollution doesn't mean you're not polluting.

Just like trump hiring contractors who hire illegals doesn't mean he's not encouraging illegal immigration.

@#12 ... So, you mean the world IS being polluted ...

An interesting implication by that person in #11.

The implication that the world is being polluted, with the assertion that it is others, not the US.

STFU Boaz. I live in a small coastal town in Florida. The amount that is spent to rebuild the beach. Every time there's a hurricane is ridiculous. Also, our main fishing pier has been closed for years because of the last hurricane.

Florida is the same as it ever was. Fun fact, the ocean won't just rise where you want it to. NYC ain't sitting very far above sea level. Neither are a lot of other big coastal cities around the world.

There are entire island nations in the Pacific making plans to evacuate because of sea rise.

There's a little town in Texas that stands just three feet above the Gulf. When it goes it will be a warning you can heed to seel your property in Florida. Or not.

Always hilarious to hear Boazhole, the guy who's been sucking government --- for decades, fishmouth anything about personal responsibility.

His brain has atrophied by years of disuse so he's the perfect sucker for another science-illiterate, evidence-free conspiracy.

I can't think of anything dumber than telling a state to keep their atmosphere to themselves.

But Boazhole always exceeds any expectations I have about stupidity.
