Following Tuesday's deadly collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, some Republican officials, candidates and right-wing pundits attempted to connect the tragedy to some of their most frequent political targets: diversity initiatives, illegal immigration, coronavirus lockdowns and the Biden administration.

Conservative political candidates and right-wing media personalities have turned to blaming diversity, equity and inclusion policies a loosely defined term broadly used to refer to efforts to diversify the workforce and academia - for the collapse. It's the latest in a series of issues that the right has blamed on DEI.
And to answer to such prejudicial drivel is the mayor of Baltimore:
Baltimore Mayor Taunts Right-Wing Trolls With Brutally Honest New 'DEI' Definition'

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott provided a new meaning for the acronym "DEI" after conservative critics linked him to diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in response to the deadly Francis Scott Key bridge collapse.

"I know and we know and you know very well that Black men, and young Black men in particular, have been the bogeyman for those who are racist and think that only straight, wealthy white men should have a say in anything," said Scott.

He continued, "We've been the bogeyman for them since the first day they brought us to this country and what they mean by DEI' in my opinion is 'duly elected incumbent'."

Scott was elected with "70% of the vote" back in 2020 by a city with a predominantly Black population.

"So by right-wing logic, a diversity hire,' would have been a white man," Reid said.

Scott later told Reid that he knows what those critics "want to say."

"But they don't have the courage to say the N-word and the fact that I don't believe in their untruthful and wrong ideology and I am very proud of my heritage and who I am and where I come from, scares them," Scott said.

He continued, "Because me being at my position means that their way of thinking, their way of life of being comfortable while everyone else suffers is going to be at risk and they should be afraid because that's my purpose in life."

This man is going places in the future.

What are the systematic mental health issues that explain MAGA's substitution of conspiracies for ordinary thought?

APPARENTLY!

Republicans claim that racism is over in America and if we all just stopped talking about it and keep trying to make us remember our history and how we treated slaves and to try to maybe make up for some of it then racism would go away.

Then they go and try and make everything that goes wrong in America about race.

But somehow it's the democrats fault for just talking about it and God Forbid trying to level the playing field.

Diversity equality and inclusiveness are not bad things yet like the term "woke" hateful rep have pretzel twisted DEI into something evil so as to please the Dear Leader Trumpy.

Propaganda Werks!

Apparently.

No mentiom regarding the origins of some of the workers killed. What are they doing up there fixing bridges when we all know they are all really about smuggling drugs and raping white women! OMG! Do you seriously think they walk 1,000 miles across a desert just to take dangerous jobs that the xenophobic white liars wouldn't take even for, in the words of John McCain, for $50.00 per hour! If the haters ever actually got their way who do you think is going to build brifges, roads, pick crops, many other things? Promise you one thing, it won't be the So many Americans have such a misguided idea of who these people are, what they are coming here for and how they regard crime, considering so many are just trying to excape open gsmg warfare in their home countries and who would face murder if they were forced to return. Remember thst word; "adylum?" What do you think they are asking for "adylum" from?

Michigan Rep. Says Buses At Airport Were Full of Illegal Invaders' But They Were Athletes

Michigan state Republican Rep. Matthew Maddock posted a photo on social media on Wednesday of buses at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, claiming the buses were transporting "illegal invaders," seemingly referring to immigrants, but they were actually transporting college basketball players.

Wayne County Airport Authority, which operates Detroit Metro Airport, confirmed that the buses were transporting four men's basketball teams competing in this weekend's Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games in Detroit. Maxwell White, a reporter in Detroit, wrote on social media on Thursday that the buses were carrying the Gonzaga basketball team.

Sam Inglot, executive director of Progress Michigan, an organization aiming to hold public officials accountable, said in a news release that Maddock's language leads to violence.

"A lot of people are making fun of Maddock for this, but it's important to acknowledge the dangerous rhetoric he used while spreading his misinformation," Inglot said. "Maddock and so many Republicans across the country are carelessly using militaristic language to describe an already-marginalized group of people. This type of dehumanization inevitably leads to violence and we cannot let Republicans get away with using it to divide our communities and put people in danger."

Democrats have a history of doing very little for a lot of money. Call it Chicago or Boston or California. Their history of ineptness is rampant. They are the political weasels of inefficiency, fooldom and corruption. The modus operandi is always to find a big project that costs billions and spend decades rigging and delaying it and passing out the spoils of corruption. The only thing missing are public hangings and draw and quartering those found to be involved.
