The high intelligence levels of orangutans have long been recognised, partly due to their practical skills such as using tools to crack nuts and forage for insects.

Big improvement. 4 years ago the most famous orangutan was drinking bleach.

Albeit similar in size and appearance,
I would elect this orangutan
over Hair Furor any day...

This isn't revelatory at all. Lots of animals have been documented using medicinal herbs. That's absolutely not medicine. Medicine would be applying the medicinal plants to another animal. That requires you to have a theory of mind of not just yourself but those around you. The understanding that another being is in pain; then relating that pain to your own pain; and then understanding the thing you would do for yourself needs to be done for the other and doing it. That is medicine and why medicine is seen as a mark of intelligence. Simply using medicinal plants is not that.

Apparently S1L3NTC0Y0T3 doesn't quite grasp the concept here that an orangutan is smart enough to figure out the medicinal herb can help treat the wound as opposed to just licking it.

This is akin to your dog grabbing the Advil bottle when it has a headache.

Some animals are harder to train, true.
