Wasn't Justin Trudeau and his father Pierre Trudeau both been accused of illicit connections to foreign governments such Cuba etc. Countries are mostly destroyed from within by treasonous leadership. USA another example of globalists and China sympathizers purposely selling out our country and opening borders to foreign influence. Countries go downhill because of corrupt greedy leadership. Unfortunate that bad leadership involves politics when those involved should be purged and deported to a desered island.

In all seriousness - what an example if they throw the book at them and I hope they do.

My wife has been suggesting a move to Canada - she likes Toronto and Vancouver. No way it is going to happen but...

In Canada they call out your treason. In the US they appoint you to head a committee in the US House.

I always found the Maritimes of Eastern Canada to be extremely pleasant friendly apolitical place of minimal crime. Kind of the country utopia most people want and many may think we in USA once had a lot more of. Politicians tend to create and then take advantage of differences that they create.

Why would it be controversial to say all foreign lobbyists should be banned? The lucrative job of foreign lobbyists is always to convince and influence politicians to bend the policies and rules so as to take advantage of the citizenry of the country in which they now operate. Almost definition of treason. Why do we tolerate foreign lobbyists?

Toronto is very nice Pete. Like a 50 year younger NYC.
We had a blast there for the week we stayed.

The problem with Canada is the sky high cost of housing.
No problem if you rent, or if you are rich already.

"opening borders to foreign influence."

What does that even neab? Ideas came across the border? Can we even build a wall that can keep out ideas? Would we want if we could? As I recall the USSR tried to do that but it didn't turn out so well.

Toronto reminds me of San Francisco more than NYC. Lovely town, but I can always do without the snow.

Before too long Chuffy, we will all be praying for snow.

What it means is acting as agent of a foreign government to vote the way a foreign government wants you to vote and swaying others to vote that way - not out of doing the right thing for your country or the right thing at all but for the sake of no doubt money.

It also means leaking information back to foreign government handlers...

Canada Green party MP raid the secret report and wasn't worried about MPs, but didn't mention senators, past MPs or members of the media.

Canada's previous prime minister is too chummy with China and India.

It's contagious apparently.

If Trumpy can get away with it in America (Land of the Free, Home of the Brave, and where Nothing can be Done) then anyone can.

Apparently.
