This week (or next) the SC is going to issue a decision in the EMTALA case. This case involves supremacy of Federal law over State law. At issue is whether hospitals that receive federal funding (Medicaid and Medicare) can refuse emergency reproductive care due to state restrictions on abortion. At oral arguments (and from tea leaf reading of the SC) it is clear that this SC will rule that state law can supersede federal law in abortion related issues.

Since the Idaho law went into effect, 6 women have had to be airlifted out of Idaho to receive lifesaving care since they were refused abortions. The EMTALA case will cost women their lives.

The -------- state abortion laws are impacting blue states. Women are not able to obtain the necessary reproductive care because the providers are swamped. A NH Democratic Congressional candidate had to have still birth in a bathtub because she could not access a hospital for care because the facilities were swamped.

The FACTS are that since the passage of Dobbs:

1. The rate of abortions have increased.
2. The hazards of being pregnant have increased.
3. The cost and effort to obtain an abortion have increased.
4. The impact of the "states deciding the issue" has impacted states that do not choose to restrict abortion-thus abortion restricting states are causing de facto abortion restrictions in enlightened states.
5. The number of women choosing to get pregnant has declined.
6. Women choosing to take permanent measures (tubes tied) to prevent pregnancy has increased.

womens rights are under attack by ideology from the right and the left. on the right led by the misogyny of the patriarchal led religionists.
and from the left by the transgender crowd insinuating themselves into female only spaces.

FWIW I have a friend who is trans. She is very successful, happily married and since transitioning far more happy.

So, I judge her a success and happy. Thus my opinion on transgender people is informed.

Your "opinion" comes from hatred and distaste and draws a conclusion without basis in fact. Thus you attack the medical professionals who study and treat actual human beings as reprehensible.
