Well... she's articulate and Trumpanzee is a mess.

Working professionally as a freelance "creative" I've worked alongside hundreds of people decades younger than myself. I noticed through the years my age created different kinds of work relationships with them. I've never been a "work wife" but I have been a "work auntie" where I was still perceived cool enough to invite to after-work parties... but never went... then I aged into "work mom" where I basically refereed the workplace and kept things in motion... and didn't get invited to parties much unless it was pg rated... and now I am "work granny" and my function is to share technique and little else... because that is now how they see me... which is fine... I don't feel any less of a person and now and then we have fun sticking it to the "work mom or dad" that replaced me... and I get invited to some of the parties because I am funny and I always leave early enough for them to get down and dirty creating the next day's gossip.

Boomers need to let go... and get on with being old... Let the kids be who they are
