Four dead as Hurricane Debby hits Florida coast
59 minutes ago

At least four people have been killed after Hurricane Debby made landfall in the Big Bend region of Florida's Gulf Coast, leaving residents coping with flooding, power outages and treacherous roads.

The weather system strengthened into a Category One hurricane late on Sunday and came ashore near Steinhatchee on Monday morning, said the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

It is now expected to move slowly across the state, packing 80mph winds and dumping as much as 30in (76cm) of rain as it moves north.

The article describes the deaths as mostly being pre-landfall in the Panhandle; some in Tamps and around Gainesville.

But if you ever get a chance to go to St George Island on 'the Forgotten Coast', take it.

There's overnight camping on the dunes in the park.

Described by a spokesman as "the biggest storm ever, unlike anything any has seen in the history of this country", many people now say that the property was a total loss, a 'disaster like you've never seen'. Local men, big strong men with tears in their eyes were quoted as saying "Sir! Sir! How can this world help those who lost so much at your beautiful southern White House?" Local reporters on the scene could not determine where the extensive damage occurred and noted that other than 2" of rain in the vicinity, no issues were noted other than a palm frond on the grounds, apparently left there by a careless immigrant grounds worker or one of the many unnamed Chinese nationals wandering about, taking photos. The property's owner, a convicted felon awaiting sentencing in New York, was quoted as saying "This is a total disaster! The worst ever! I'm owed bigly by my insurance company and I'll sue to get all that's coming to me!"...

Then he saw the yacht.

It was beached in his backyard.

"Is this my boat? Or ... did it become my boat?" Trump asked the illegal immigrants cleaning up his property.

No, it was not his boat they said, "At least I got a nice boat out of the deal," he said, with a smile.
