Monarch Butterflies to Be Listed as a Threatened Species in US

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is proposing protection for one of the nation's most beloved species -- the monarch butterfly -- and is encouraging the public to be part of its recovery. ... Threats to monarchs include loss and degradation of breeding, migratory and overwintering habitat; exposure to insecticides; and the effects of climate change . Although many people have already helped conserve the butterfly, additional habitat and protections are needed to ensure the species is conserved for future generations.

I know some places that could serve as monarch sanctuaries. They're pretty California Hills filled with wildflowers and weeds and without human habitat.

Why would they not save monarch butterflies and citizens in western North Carolina. Especially since they (Biden etc ) will waste our limited money on foreign criminal invaders and foreign wars.

I know several People who have the yards filled with milkweed and have spent years collecting monarch eggs and caterpillars and raising them till they become butterflies and then releasing them.

In years past they've had 100s. Too many to count

But this year they've all said they didn't get many.

I'm not sure if it habitat destruction or something else.

But the number of butterflies has definitely decreased.

Typical. Every Democrat president throws up a wall of new environmental rules and regulations to hobble the incoming Republican President.

Trump will either have to weather the criticism of repealing a regulation that was never before in place or deal with the strategically targeted harm to the economy. OMG Trump is killing the planet!
