Tesla has undergone unprecedented growth in Austin over the past four-and-a-half years, the centerpiece of which is a 10-million-square-foot "gigafactory," by some measures the world's second-largest building. Undocumented workers have been a regular presence at the site since shortly after ground broke in 2020, a time when Musk was a largely apolitical figure. They were there in 2023, the year Musk traveled to Eagle Pass, Texas, and surveyed the US-Mexico border in a black cowboy hat. They continued reporting to work in 2024 as he threw his weight, including nearly $300 million in donations, behind Trump's election campaign. Some unauthorized workers interviewed by Businessweek said they'd started on the project within the past few months, while Musk was laying plans for the Department of Government Efficiency, which he now leads from Washington, DC.

What a scumbag.

Pay-walled article but I could read the first sentences. "an after hours cleaning service"

You're retarded. This is literally every company in the US right now. They need documentation, or go home... It's why we hired Trump.

YOu hired a guy who's businesses relied on illegals for decades to get rid of illegals?

Who's retarded now?

For every illegal hired by some company we should throw a politician against deporting them in jail.

Instead of the guy hiring them and luring them here with jobs? Oh right because that person is probably a white conservative.

Then why are Lumpers complaining about what Florida is doing?

Oh right because that person is probably a white conservative.

This is a false characterization, every state where there is high use of illegal immigration is a Blue/Purple State.

Remember the Red states are the poor states, they don't need slaves.

I really don't see this as an argument. Given the unmitigated illegal immigration it's the only way to stay competitive.

Lumpers create a circus then complain about the clowns.

Well, if they are "undocumented", they need to get documented.

What's so hard about that?

Cheap labor = cheap goods

Documented labor != cheap labor

" Well, if they are "undocumented", they need to get documented."

Are the guys who knowingly hire the undocumented ever going to get arrested? Or are they exempt, as "job creators"?!?

What's incredible about you is, every time I read one of your posts, they're somehow dumber than the previous one.

Pretty remarkable considering you started off your career on the DR by claiming to be an "open border, liberal" who was complaining about the southern border not being controlled well enough by the Biden administration.

"On that we agree."

Well, my theory is it's Republican Sheriffs in Republican counties looking the other way because the Republican members of the Chambers of Commerce are the largest donors to the Sheriffs' re-election campaigns.

Do we agree?

If not, what's your theory?
