"These significant seizures are examples of the dedication and expertise of CBSA's officers as they continue to work each and every day to prevent illegal drugs, like fentanyl, and contraband from breaching our borders," Public Safety Minister David McGuinty said in a statement.

I don't understand why Lewzer isn't doing anything about this. It's like the US Border Patrol isn't even checking stuff leaving the country. They expect Canada to check stuff coming in, instead.

Thats kinda how the world works. You can leave your countr, no questions asked, but you have to go through passport control and customs to enter a country.

Why do you think this is any different?

Trump expects Mexico to stop the flow of drugs into the United States yet no expectation of keeping drugs out of our neighbors to the north. Hypocrisy much??

Because he's stupid. That's his job.

Canada was busy combatting illegal drugs before Trumpf's threats. The RCMP busted the largest drug mega-lab in their history right before the US election. Please see second entry for more details: coriolanus.page

As someone posted, Canada is like the US, you are "free to go" at the borders. ICE agents may conduct targeted inspections before leaving the US if they have a tip-off about somebody specific carrying contraband (large amount of undeclared currency, drugs, weapons).

So you agree Trump is an enormous idiot on this subject?
Do you also agree that Trump is an enormous idiot on the subject of tariffs?

Let's just take baby steps at first...
