Yeahwhatever.
Sensational BS with little bearing on anything of actual concern.

A very sad tale. A horror story for all involved. I did not know he pled guilty. Apparently to avoid a death sentence? At least he admitted to it. But I don't see where he said why he did it.

Apparently during the victim impact portion one of the speakers said something about him being an A student, but that he would be getting a lot of "D's" in prison.

This is where Americans are weak willed. Guy stalked and stabbed 4 people in cold blood at their apartment for "educational" purposes, just to see if he could do it.
Why waste any Government money on this individual, the social contract is null and void.
Goodbye.

something along the lines of A's in school and D's in prison.

If I recall he was a Criminal Justice student, and thought he could get away with it.
Which is why his phone would go dark and then show up again.
This guy was evil, and deserves death.

He did not provide an explanation, and that was very difficult for the families who always want to know "Why?". The families were upset about the plea bargain, which happened suddenly and without giving them a chance to respond. Realistically, there wasn't enough evidence to be certain of conviction. I have seen homicides with far more compelling evidence result in acquittal or hung juries. With those odds, a plea bargain with a sentence that assures he will never leave prison is one any prosecutor should take.

I did hear there was some indication that he was stalking/targeting one of the girls in particular.

Fortunately we have a Second Amendment that allowed him to pursue his dreams.

He did not use a gun so that has absolutely nothing to do with it. He thought he could commit the perfect crime and get away. Especially in an area where there are large rivers to dispose of evidence, which he likely did. Idaho has changed the death penalty method to firing squad so maybe he was afraid of that, I dont know. He waived his right to appeal but I have heard that he still could anyway, I dont really understand that. Either way, I think it is the best outcome at this junction. I feel awful for the families. What a horrible thing to go through.
