I favor excellence at the top, and I think detracking math education is a mistake. But broadly speaking, in the N.C.L.B. era of accountability at the bottom, all students were improving! In the post-N.C.L.B. era, the best students are doing okay and the weakest students are in crisis.

Gosh... it couldn't be because we can't get qualified teachers due to pay and Republican attacks, schools are hugely underfunded especially in minority areas, and classes sizes continue to grow...

It must be because we got rid of No Child Left Behind...which pulled funds from schools that need it most.

Nothing that teaching them that Cankles McTacotits won the 2020 election and posting the ten commandments in every classroom won't fix.

Throw in a bunch more books, words and images to ban and we will be #1 in no time!

I think we should make it easier for American born students to go to medical school. Put a pause on accepting foreign students. That's putting America first for a change.
