Even visitors from countries like Britain and France, whose citizens don't need visas, would have to share five years' worth of social media.

Big Orange Brother.

Be honest, Trumpers... is this what you voted for?

It's exactly what they voted for.

When it bites them in the ass I will be here to laugh at them.

That's why it is important to never use your real name on social media.

Even from the perspective of data mining for fraud for chrissakes.

Mr Linehan, 57, said he had been detained by five armed officers at Heathrow Airport after flying in from the US.

Why? Because he made posts on social media

The face the US presents to the world, thanks to Trump and his motley crew, is a glum, uninviting one.
For some reason, his feckless Republican enablers are comfortable with this.
A reputational trashing of these proportions is not something from which nations normally recover.
Yeah, the Germans and Japanese did, after WW2, but they had a lot of help and the world has changed.

Post-WWII Germany and Japan underwent war crimes tribunals and received massive US economic support to create two loyal anti-Soviet allies for America. The process took both of these countries approximately 15 years to recover (give or take) and they had lots of US help.

Who will help the US recover from our post-Trumpf era trauma?

Hope is not a plan, but perhaps NATO, the EU, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Canada will help the next American generation with their version of a Marshall Plan for destitute and isolated Americans suffering without healthcare, nutrition, or decent housing.

Trump's war on tourism is baffling to me. It's a huge chunk of the economy they he's doing everything he can to kill.
