The Defense Department's inspector general revealed Monday that the United States is facing a shortfall in ammunition as a result of its costly war in Iran. In a first-of-its-kind mandatory report to Congress, the inspector said that between Feb. 28 and June 30, Operation Epic Fury (OEF) had an estimated cost of $33.4 billion, with $22.3 billion of that spent on munitions alone. "The munitions expenditure on OEF has resulted in strategic inventory shortfalls and revealed industrial base bottlenecks for munitions resupply," the report states.

The munitions problems are a long term problem no one President or Congress , or General wanted to address.

US can't manufacture arms, though it spends an enormous amount on "defense".
1. 600 Patriot missiles per year
2. 90 to 100 tomahawk missiles a year.
3. 430,000 artillery shells a year. - 3.4 million per year for Russia.

Pres Trump said such reporting was fake news.

What do you think any war time president would say? Your understanding of the world is so shallow.

The munitions problems are a direct result of starting a war with Iran that no other president was stupid enough to do.
