... The FCC passed new rules that will require cable and satellite providers to clearly disclose the "all in" price of subscriptions in promotional materials.

"The advertised price for a service should be the price you pay when your bill arrives," FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel said. "It shouldn't include a bunch of unexpected junk fees that are separate from the top-line price you were told when you signed up."

Rosenworcel cited fees like "broadcast subscription" and "regional sports assessments." "It is not just annoying," she said. "It makes it hard for consumers to compare service in a market that is evolving and has so many new ways to watch." ...

On my Comcast bill, the "fees" add well over $30 per month to the promotional price that was advertised.

We dropped Comcast TV and signed up for YouTube TV when it rolled out. No hidden fees, you can arrange channels in whatever order you want to and prevent channels you don't want on the lineup from appearing. You can fast forward through commercials on any show you've previously set to record. We really like it. And it's a lot less than what Comcast charged for TV. Especially with all the "extra" fees they tacked on.

And by fast forwarding through commercials on any show you've previously set to record, that also applies to every episode you didn't set to record in "the cloud" if you've recorded any others.

More proof that the parties aren't the same. Dems fighting to make your lives better and crack down on cheating corporations.

My bank also sent me a letter about all the fees they would no longer be charging.

Lets go brandon!
