Speaking to the Democratic National Committee, which met to select its new leadership this weekend, the outgoing chair, Jaime Harrison, attempted to explain a point about its rules concerning gender balance for its vice-chair race. "The rules specify that when we have a gender-nonbinary candidate or officer, the nonbinary individual is counted as neither male nor female, and the remaining six officers must be gender balanced," Harrison announced. As the explanation became increasingly intricate, Harrison's elucidation grew more labored. "To ensure our process accounts for male, female, and nonbinary candidates, we conferred with our [Rules and Bylaws Committee] co-chair, our LGBT Caucus co-chair, and others to ensure that the process is inclusive and meets the gender-balance requirements in our rules

Both majors parties need to break up and become four in total. It would solve all sorts of problems. Either that or the Democratic party needs to move to the left. They've moved far to the right in several years. Oh and stop being beholden to the corporate class. That needs to stop.

Is that a joke?

Personally, I think the Democrat party needs to jettison the LGBT issue. It's a losing platform and America isn't behind it. They also need to stay away from Immigration.

But the Democrats wont learn. And keep doing what they are doing. And keep losing.

If course you want the Democratic party to jettison the LGBTQUIA community so it's easier for you to discriminate against us

If you eat you support the Undocumented immigrants. Just sayin

"the LGBTQUIA community

It's a good idea to check in the mirror occasionally to see if one has become a parody of oneself. Just sayin

"If you eat you support..."

slave wages?

Of all the things people say they are willing to see an increase in to help other people... perhaps this is the issue.

Time to shut off the flow of slave wage workers, bite the bullet on what it costs to actually feed our populace, and start to adjust how our society works. Seems the Dems answer is to 'compassionately' continue to exploit.

Either that or the Democratic party needs to move to the left.

An objective assessment of the last eight years belies this assertion.

It's largely the left's nonsense that's hobbling the party.

The Republicans have been planning all this in one way or another since the Moral Majority and Grover Norquist.

What have the Democrats been actively planning to do together and working toward for the last 45 years? Ehh, not much.

On a value-per-posted-word basis, I'll take LYD any day over, say, Lamplighter.

BRinger, when are you going to call out Fortfisher? At least LYD isn't consumed with homoerotica.
