"The judge noted that DOGE's speed and the fluidity of its leadership appear to be by design. He is ordering "rolling" productions of DOGE records to begin within weeks.

"The rapid pace of [DOGE's] actions, in turn, requires the quick release of information about its structure and activities," Cooper wrote. "That is especially so given the secrecy with which DOGE has operated."

;

"Cooper also offered some criticism of the way the Trump administration litigated the case, noting that its lawyers offered virtually nothing in the way of evidence about DOGE's operations or management.

"Indeed, the Court wonders whether this decision was strategic," Cooper said, noting that Trump administration lawyers had taken competing positions " including that DOGE qualifies as an "agency" under some sections of law but not others " "when it suits it."

"Thus [DOGE] becomes, on defendants' view, a Goldilocks entity," Cooper wrote, "not an agency when it is burdensome but an agency when it is convenient."

Here come da Judge, here come da Judge!

... District Judge Christopher Cooper said the vast and "unprecedented" authority of DOGE, formally known as the U.S. Digital Service, combined with its "unusual secrecy" warrant the urgent release of its internal documents under the Freedom of Information Act. ...

Good.

If what DOGE has been doing is so great, then the formal records of what they have been doing should only bolster the need for DOGE.

So... where are those formal records?

Let's see them.

They'll just appeal it to the Rubber Stamp Supreme Court who have already decided to put their rubber stamp of approval on anything Trump or his lackies want to do.

Judge Christopher R. Cooper is a U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Columbia. Nominated by President Barack Obama in 2014.

More lawfare!

So we have partisan zombie political activist judges competing in issuing dictates back-and-forth, essentially trying to challenge and usurp executive power. This judge, for example, is a zombie for obama.
These judges are appointed, they are not elected. They have unlimited tenure, and political debts to pay. It's a class of permanent authoritarian dictatorship.

There are so many judgements going against Trump that, some day soon, he will say he will not comply. Then the s... will hit the fan. If a president fails to abide by the law, why should anyone? If should a thing were to ever happen, I would expect a judge to start dismissing cases brought by the DOJ with the reason being that a lawless president has no authority to compel anyone to abide by federal law.

Unfortunately I agree with you but I fear that we will be outgunned! the crazies have military style weapons and are armed with unlimited stupidity. All they need is for a Fox News host to tell them it's open season on minorities, gays, transfolks, of course, women and all Democrats too, of coursr! Why do you think Musk really wants all the data about all of us? He's compiling a hit list! Florida has already declared a sales tax holiday for guns and ammunition:

"This proposed holiday would make the sale of ammunition, firearms, and other accessories state sales tax-free for a period in the summer, from Memorial Day to the Fourth of July."

www.kiplinger.com

I looked it up; so far only the Florida Senate has approved this absolutely stupid idea. But our absolutely stupid governor is still pushing it!

Every American will receive a copy of Trump's tax returns in the US Mail before the DOGE records are released per this order. The records will eventually be leaked, and if found the leaker will be sent to Gitmo to break rocks in the sun, from dawn till doom...

"If you've done nothing wrong then what have you got to hide? "

DOGE must be proud of all the fraud and corruption it has found. It must be zillions of dollars of waste found by now.

If they are so proud of their work then they should have no problems showing us all the fraud waste and abuse that DOGE has found so we can be proud too.

These Meal Team 6 duds have limited critical thought process and will likely win a few battles but hardly have a chance to win the war. Do you really think all the black and Latino guys that voted for pig orange man will side with them after what pig orange man has done to them recently? Or, will the NCO's and officers in the military side with a bunch or white fat racists? I was in the army and we had some white and some black -------- that were stirring up racist ---- and the smarter and tougher white and black soldiers read them the riot act and they behaved after that.
