More from the OpEd ...

... The first few weeks of the second Trump administration have combined the "shock and awe" of the 2003 invasion of Iraq with the Silicon Valley mantra "move fast and break things." The shock treatment"Elon Musk's ascendency, Jan. 6 pardons, a Gaza Riviera, the Ukraine retreat, and so on"distracted attention from how President Trump and agencies of government such as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are moving fast to break three foundational principles of American government and democracy: fair and legitimate investigations, judicial review, and executive branch agency independence.

Culture War-Themed Investigations

The effort begins with FCC Chairman Brendan Carr's initiation of culture war-themed investigations based on the application of undefined or ill-defined regulatory concepts, the details of which are known only to him.

Such actions recall Justice Antonin Scalia's admonition, in a 2015 Supreme Court decision, that "[t]he vagueness of the law can invite arbitrary power."

In this case, Carr's message is clear to those the FCC regulates: "Fall in line or this could be you." ...

Buffalo Tom - Taillights Fade (1992)

Lyrics excerpt ...

genius.com

...
Sister can you hear me now
The ringing in your ears
I'm down on the ground
My luck's been dry for years

I'm lost in the dark
And I feel like a dinosaur
Broken face and broken hands
I'm a broken man

I've hit the wall
I'm about to fall
But I'm closing in on it

I feel so weak
On a losing streak
Watch my taillights fade to black
...

#2 Maybe this will cheer you up: www.youtube.com

I was a highwayman
Along the coach roads, I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive

I was a sailor
I was borne upon the tide
And with the sea, I did abide
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still

I was a dam builder
Across the river deep and wide
Where steel and water did collide
A place called Boulder on the wild Colorado
I slipped and fell into the wet concrete below
They buried me in that great tomb that knows no sound
But I am still around
I'll always be around and around and around and around and around and around

I fly a starship
Across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain
I'll be back again and again and again and again and again and again

LOL, Trump broke these principals? Biden breaking them was a major reason Trump won in a landslide. Someday but most likely not, Democrats will realize why they lost the election and why their approval rating is at 21%. It's an embarrassment for this country.

Because putin and bibi and a bunch of other evil billionaires worked to help trump win, plus decades of republican rigging the electoral system.

Ever ask yourself why americas enemies tried to get trump elected?

"why their approval rating is at 21%"

Trump should build The Wall out of Democrat approval ratings. Because some people can't get over it.

You're gonna still be trotting out that 21% line when the stock market is at 21%.
