Elon Musk is pushing back on a report that his flagship company Tesla is looking to replace him as CEO after months of absenteeism in favor of his work as head of DOGE -- and a decidedly inefficient first quarter for Tesla.

"One of the many criticisms leveled at DOGE has been its use of young staffers, who have little-to-no government experience.

One such staffer - Edward Coistine, who is also known as "Big Balls" - appeared alongside Musk on Jesse Watters Primetime to discuss his role for the first time.

"Who is Big Balls?" host Watters asked on his program, surrounded by DOGE members and supporters at a huge oval conference table.

"I am," piped up 19-year-old DOGE staff member Edward Coristine."

"DOGE critics have argued that the young techie crew's analyses of pay systems demonstrate how little they know about basic bookkeeping and accounting.

Another staffer said Thursday that $330 million has been paid to dead people, but DOGE has yet to show evidence of that."

"Another staffer said Thursday that $330 million has been paid to dead people"

So they saved one dollar per American.

Republicans are the dumbest people imaginable.

Elon Musk's Stunning Claim That DOGE Is 'The Most Transparent' Gets Blunt Fact-Check (April 3, 2025)
www.huffpost.com

... Elon Musk is continuing to defend the work of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, recently claiming in an interview with Fox News that his initiative is "the most transparent organization in government ever." ...

OK, so, let's see the receipts and evidence for the $160 billion of cuts that Mr Musk stated in a Cabinet Meeting (down from his promised $2 trillion of cuts, and also down from his revised $1 trillion of cuts).

There's a good graphic in this article...
www.bbc.com

To summarize:

...
Initial pledge for cuts: $2 trillion

Revised pledge for cuts: $1 trillion

Current estimated savings: $160 billion

Itemized savings: $61.5 billion

Savings with a receipt attached: $32.5 billion
...

So, "Mr Transparency" has shown evidence of only $32.5 billion, when he has claimed $160 billion?

So much for transparency.

@#1 ... DOGE has yet to show evidence of that." ...

Yeah, that seems to be a main problem with DOGE...

Lots of self-ingratiating claims, with nothing to back them up.

DOGE was never about what it purported to be. Its purpose is to wreck the government in favor of personal private pet interests

Musk makes promises he never keeps.

For instance, how many years has he promised investors that self-driving is coming "next year?"

Every year since 2019.

He's full of s*&!
