Infamous Waffen-SS commando Otto Skorzeny wended his way to Argentina after WWII and served as a bodyguard to Eva Peron, who he allegedly had an affair with. Skorzeny, once described by SHAEF Commander General Dwight D. Eisenhower as "the most dangerous man in Europe," eventually moved to Ireland in June 1957 and then to Madrid, Spain, where he would die at age 67 in 1975.

#1: I think you're right, Doc.

BTW: Argentina was referred to as an "El Dorado" for escaped Nazis.

That was a lot of money back then... but the Nazis and the Peros were pikers compared to Trump.

I raise your whataboutism with a fact

Biden Hold my beer:

After Biden lost, the 76-day period, between Bidens loss, and Trumps inauguration, the Department of Energy Loan Program Office in Loans and Commitments passed out $93 billion. Well over twice as much as in the previous 15 years.

And get this many of the "companies" had no business plan and no financials.

Ya gotta love when the children stretch for some sort of relevance. Someday perhaps is will happen.

Hi Corky: I have blank lines in the thread, so I don't see all the comments (mercifully). Some people on DR (like you) enjoy these historical OPs as a change of pace from dealing with Trumpf's and Netanyahu's army of polemicists and trolls blathering on incessantly with their endless cycle of overused, idiotic talking points. Like I posited on a different post, mental illness is a growing problem in the US, so it's best to tune some of these patients out:

#5 on this thread is 1Nut... not yet plonked because, like Charlie Chan's #2 Son, he does provide a lame sort of unintended humor. But he's close.

Huh ... Well, Qatar just beat that $200,000,000 figure by giving Trump a $300,000,000 jet.

It can't be called anything but a bribe because he plans to keep it when he leaves the WH for his Presidential Library (one book .. Hitlet speeches). Uh, sure it'll stay there just as sure as I can seel you a bridge in Brooklyn ... cheap.

#9: Hi American Unity:

At the White House last week, dignified South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa said to Dotard Trumpf with a smile: "I'm sorry we don't have a plane to give you."

The uncouth and avaricious Dotard replied: "I wish you did. I'd take it. If your country offered the United States Air Force a plane, I would take it."

Yup, definitely a taker.
What still amazes me is people putting up with his behaviors.
But, then, I look over at the book shelf and there it is:
William Shirer's The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.

I think it's the republicl0wn version of the "prosperity gospel" as it filters through the skidmarks of evangelical thinking. They pray for his success and prosperity. He gets that stuff because Jayzus wants him to have it.

Only an idiot expects patriotism or loyalty from the wealthy... especially silver spooners...
They live without borders or laws.

And Trump and his family are grifting all over the Middle East, so of course, they could just walk away from a destroyed American economy and live like the inherited wealth royalty they are, in new world Earth where country boundaries keep the poor out, but not the rich.
